My sight deteriorated due to dense, rapidly forming cataracts. So much so that, I only drove when absolutely necessary. I was referred to an ophthalmologist by my optometrist. Appointment scheduling was quick and easy and I was able to have cataract surgery on both eyes within a couple of weeks. I had cataract surgeries on both eyes done by Dr. Anwar in late 2023. On my initial and subsequent visits, he was always courteous, thorough in assessments and professional. He did measurements of my eyes twice, one week apart, to make sure the measurements are accurate. Office visits did not feel rushed. He listened to and answered all of my questions. He takes a proven and conservative approach as far as appropriate but is up to par with the latest trends and technology. Surgeries were a done at local outpatient facility and was timely and without any issues. His instructions pre-surgery and post-surgery were very good and easy to follow. Even though the lenses I selected were from mid-distance to far sight, I am able to read small fonts on my phone without glasses if needed. I do use the 1.5 diopter off the shelf reading glasses for extended reading or computer work. Only improvement would be to have the office staff better explain the financial details so it is clear that the

Dr. Anwar provided a comprehensive eye exam for my aging mother, advising her on her overall eye condition, as well as the benefits and risks of various medical procedures she could pursue for better vision. He was extremely thorough and took a lot of time to make sure she understood his professional opinions. He is a patient and caring medical professional, and I trust him to care for my mother's (and my!) eye needs in the future.
