Norton Cardiology Is Awful
I will never return to Dr. Rahman or Norton Cardiology as a whole. Any cardiology practice that has cardiologists practicing who do not do lipid (cholesterol) tests is not a practice that should be trusted with your heart. It took me an entire week and four phone calls to be told that Dr. Rahman's office does not do lipid tests when I went to him to get a statin refilled. I would highly discourage going to him or any other Norton Cardiology professional in the future. Their customer service is abysmal--every time I called them I got hung up on. The final time I called, and the final straw for me, I got hung up on after expressing frustration that I had not been called for a full week after I got other, superfluous tests run by him that I did not ask for and did not think were necessary to get my statin filled. I will never recommend Norton to anyone looking for a cardiologist, and if they choose Norton, I will highly recommend they avoid Dr. Rahman.

Dr. Rahman was very rude to me both times I visited. He tried to make the visits as brief as possible. He brushed off any concerns I had with my results and even left the room while I was in mid-sentence asking a question (after 5 minutes of discussion). When I went to another cardiologist they told me his heart monitor he used for me was a terrible brand. He even questioned my birth control when it was totally unrelated to my heart condition. Despite having chronic dizziness he just told me to drink more water and change my diet although I'm a very active and healthy person (didn't read my chart at all). I'm glad I went to Baptist and Dr. Michael Flaherty instead, he and the nursing staff were so much less dismissive and helpful.

I just received a bill for a stress test/supervision from this doctor. The only problem is they kept calling him repeatedly at Clark Memorial to come down and supervise the test and were never able to get him. A nurse practitioner finally had to supervise the stress test. Now I'm receiving a bill from him for it. I will need to call my insurance company and talk to them and the hospital about this because that's just completely wrong.

I agree with the 2017 review. Doctor is not a problem although I know he is aware of delay because he advised me it might take a week or two to get the testing approved by my insurance company. I found that odd as no other doctors' office has had that long a delay. I waited a month for the office to schedule a heart monitor test with no contact. I went in the office at that time to find out what the problem was. They said they were handling it. I had the test scheduled 9 days later. I turned in the monitor at the hospital the day after. Three weeks later - no results - no contact. I left 2 voicemail messages on two different days and finally was contacted to schedule an appointment for follow up with Dr. Rahman a week later. So, in the end it took over two months to set up the test and get a follow up appointment. This problem is over due for correction. I feel sure Dr. Rahman is a competent doctor but lose confidence with leadership that allows this office problem for so long.

Dr. Rahman is very courteous and very good at what he does. I would give Dr. Rahman 5 stars, however the chain is only as good as its weakest link and his office personnel SUCK!!!!!! I have been waiting over a week to schedule cardiac rehab, after calling 4 hours ago and leaving a detailed message, I just called again and finally someone actually answered the phone. They had no clue! Now my life is on hold still while they pull their collective head out of their anus and get me a start date.
