Dr. Zachary Lyons, MD

This morning my daughter called to cancel her appointment today as she had food poisoning and was throwing up with diarrhea. When she called Dr. Lyons office, a man at the front desk said that “she would still be charged as she is cancelling on the same day as her appointment”. When she told me this, I saw it extremely insensitive and completely unprofessional so I called to inform them that we will not be paying the charge as she just started throwing up and had to leave her college class because of this situation. When I called I asked for the “practice manager” so the woman transferred me to the front desk where this man answered the phone. I again asked for the practice manager, as I knew I would get no where with this man, as he was the one that was so rude to my daughter. He refused. “The reason I am still charging her is because it’s ok for her to still come in as she is not contagious because it’s just food poisoning”Are you kidding me?Extremely unprofessional and insensitive!

Caring doctor who listens!

My family and I recently moved to the area and finally got around to scheduling out doctor/dentist appointments. Had been awhile between COVID and the move, but Dr. Lyons was wonderful. He took his time, listened, and seem to really care.

Dr. Lyons was the first doctor I’ve had who actually listens. You can tell he really cares.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Zach Lyons and I could not be happier. He took constant notes, asked me for more information, explained everything about medications that I have taken for the past 25 years (no, I never knew these details from my former doctor) and how to better improve my health. He listened to my concerns and even asked for better ways of ensuring that my health questions were fully answered. I found him very approachable, personable, and more importantly, knowledgeable in aspects of my health care and medical options. I would recommend him to others.

Dr. Lyons deceptively submitted my husband’s and my preventive visit as sick visits, citing diagnoses we had mentioned in our medical history only, claiming he treated us for these conditions which he did not. We were extremely clear we were only in for preventive visits, yet were charged hundreds of dollars for a visit that should have been covered by our insurance at 100%. When called out on their mistake, the staff and Dr. Lyons cited his “notes” as the reason for the claims submission, and the notes were completely inaccurate and deceptive based on our visit. He was unwilling to recode the claim to be the preventive visit we had, and we were forced to pay for care we did not receive. He also combined our visits into one, and had both my husband and I in the room which is a clear HIPAA violation. I do not recommend this practice, and will never be returning.

Every appointment I had with Dr. Lyons was unpleasant. He rarely listens to anything you have to say and is quite arrogant. I bumped into one of his employees outside of work and they said a lot of people leave the practice due to Zach Lyons.

Never had an experience with a doctor like him before. Could tell he really cares about his patients.

I've seen Dr. Zach a few times now and am very thankful to have found him. Hadn't seen a doctor in a few years and initially went at the insistence of my fiance, who also sees him. He takes his time, explains things careful, and is very nice and easy to talk to. We're both very satisfied and would highly recommend him.

Amazingly kind and compassionate human being. Very smart and helpful. So grateful for him and the care he has provided. Simply the best!

Dr. Lyons has been fantastic. He is smart, thoughtful, and wise beyond his years. Have referred several friends to him and they feel similarly. Great guy and great doc!

So nice to find a doctor who didn't rush. Listened to me, was thorough, thoughtful, and kind.

Dr. Lyons was inattentive to my issues and seemed to have one foot out the door for the entire appointment. After a number of worthless visits, Dr. Lyons failed to prescribe even one drug, coming up with excuse after excuse to not prescribe or refill a number of necessary medications which I had been previously prescribed. He had a pompous and indifferent attitude towards his patients and didn't seem very interested in his role as a physician.

Dr. Lyons is an excellent doctor and very caring. I have recommended him to several people. I am incredibly happy I am one of his patients.
