Dr. Kohutek treated my mom at Memorial Sloan Kettering for Stage IV Metastatic lung Cancer. He was by far the most compassionate doctor we had the pleasure of working with. Although my mom was at times overwhelmed by the process of seeing many doctors and undergoing many treatment options, it was refreshing speaking with Dr. Kohutek as he extended grace and compassion to my mom at a very difficult time. Fast forward 2.5 years later and mom now needs additional radiation for new spots, the first person that came to mind was Dr. Kohutek, however I was Immediately disappointed when my mom said he left Memorial Sloan. I looked him up and I’m happy to see him in Nashville at Vanderbilt. He’s a gem. Nashville is lucky to have him.
