Dr. Yvette Martas, MD

Dr. Martha was warm, caring, and concerned for my comfort. She was more than willing to adapt her approach to my exam to insure that I was as comfortable as possible. I never felt rushed and was able to have all my questions answered.

She is great knowledgeable n very great doctor I always feel comfortable with her ….

Dr. Martas was friendly and helpful at our first meeting when I was doing well and not having severe symptoms. When I began experiencing severe hot flashes, nights sweats and a host of other symptoms, her tune changed with me. She requested blood test results, questioned the source of my symptoms, requested two in person appointments to discuss treatment and ultimately stated, 'you aren't miserable all the time, just some of the time' and that she did not believe my symptoms were related to my lack of estrogen even though my $4000 blood tests showed nothing of concern otherwise. She stated that HRT is only for women who are in menopause (12 months no period) and the only thing she would prescribe was an oral contraceptive. I've done a lot of research and HRT can absolutely be prescribed during perimenopause. She seems stuck in the past and references old research which has since been debunked. My new provider is up to date and I am receiving the correct HRT.

Dr. Martas is professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and so respectful. She listens, carefully explains all procedures and options. She treats patients like equal important people. She is the best!

Dr. Yvette Martas takes her time listenning to you and she is very friendly. I liked that she was appprochable and knowledgeable. I also felt very confident with her diagnose and I calm and at ease in the consultation office as this is not always the case when visiting a doctor. The attention received was personalized and I highly recommend Dr. Martas. She speaks Spanish and that is super helpful.

In all my years, she is by far my favorite. She makes you feel comfortable and explains everything in the way that doesn’t make you feel dumb for not knowing. She is so kind and pleasant to work with.

I've been to more gyno Dr's than I care to think about. Dr. Martas is by far the best one. She is quick, thorough, compassionate and has a nice personality.

Staff is always very friendly and I can’t speak highly enough about Dr.Martas. She always makes sure to address any issues BEFORE she even starts the exam or consultation and really takes the time to listen and answers your questions. She also makes sure you understand anything you are talking about and will take the time to get you at that point. She’s really sweet and ALWAYS asks permission and tells you what she’s about to do before she does it, which is amazing.

AMAZING. Felt like family!!

I was very surprised by the way Dr. Martas treated me given all of the other glowing reviews. This was my first appointment with a gynecologist so I was very nervous, and Dr. Martas did nothing to quell my anxiety. The visit was very rushed, and she began by saying she could either address my concerns about infections or complete the pap smear. I chose the pap smear but because I was menstruating, she couldn’t proceed with it. She was going to leave without offering to address the concerns I had about infections instead, so I was forced to ask if we could talk about that with the time we had left. She replied “I have another patient waiting for me” and then suggested that I read about maintaining vaginal pH on the internet (didn’t she go to med school for this??). Overall I felt that I was treated very poorly. I don’t know if maybe she was having a bad day but it seemed like my concerns were not important enough to merit her time. I would not recommend her as your first gynecologist.

As a new patient, I would recommend Dr. Martas to family and friends. She was very thorough, kind, gentle and compassionate throughout my exam. All the staff made me feel comfortable and I had a nice office visit. I will continue to see Dr. Martas
