Dr. Yvan Thomas, DO

Took time to talk and give feedback to my questions. If you just want drugs this is probably not the doctor for you. If you want someone professional and caring then give her a try. Been seeing her 10 years with successful referral to specialist when appropriate. Found both types of cancer and got me into appropriate physicians within 2 weeks. Early find means I'm still alive

My previous primary left. I had to find a new one and chose Dr. Thomas. She was not a good listener and even prescribed the wrong medicine from a prescription I told them was changed from another doctor. She was not interested in me as a new patient. I am attempting to find another primary.

My doctor suddenly retired and I had to find a new primary care. Scheduling was easy and the staff was friendly. I thought Dr. Thomas listened when I spoke and I did feel respected. I am seeing her again in a week and I think she’ll be my new primary.

She's a very good doctor very helpful and very sweet.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This doctor has no regard for her patients! She will say one thing but do another. Her listening skills are subpar and she is already talking before you can finish your statement. During my first appointment I was discussing options and she cut me off to curtly let me know there were other doctors in my area I could transfer to. When I switched to another doctors, at some point in the process, she closed out one of my medication unbeknownst to me and has caused me unimaginable inconveniences. I found a new doctor asap! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! On the contrary the nurses were very friendly and accommodating

I was only needing a doctors note for my job so that I may be allowed to wear comfortable shoes at work. I have already had surgery to remove a bunion and re-align my bones in one foot. My other foot has a bunion growth and without supportive shoes I am in so much pain. She would not provide a note unless I had an X-ray done and implied that she still may not do it because I need to see a specialist. After looking at my feet she confirmed that I was in fact growing a bunion. I cannot afford to see a specialist or have x-rays done. I especially can't afford to see a specialist for them to tell me what I already know... Which is to wear decent bleeping shoes. I waited in the exam room for almost an hour before she came in. It was a complete waste of time.

I was looking for a new primary care physician, so saw her once for a check-up, she was fine…not spectacular but OK. I went for a a routine mammogram and had my results sent to her. They ended up being abnormal, and she was not timely at all in getting an order put in for follow up tests. She also didn’t even communicate with me directly, she dropped her comments in my chart (or whatever they use at St. John’s). So impersonal, would expect a little more compassion. I’m not going back to her. There’s a good reason why she has immediate openings for appointments…

She seems very concerned about my health and she explained to me the things I need to do for my health. It was my first visit with her and I really liked what she said to me. I will keep her for my doctor

Dr Thomas is great. She always takes the time to go all over all my health issues and keeps an eye on all my lab work. Also her nurse Brittany is great to work with and schedule your appointment. Terry up front is always pleasant to deal with.

Very caring, and thoughtful. Listens to me.

Dr. Thomas has been significantly late ever time I have seen her, then stays in the room for maybe 2-3 min max. She does not actually listen to my concerns, and when her PA (who is awesome) calls me with results, she reads things that Dr. Thomas has in my file that are directly contradicting what I told her my concerns were. She has cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars with referrals and tests only to gaslight me afterwards. I would give her 0 stars if possible, and I wouldn't recommend seeing her.

I was having problems with breathing. Dr Thomas accessed my symptoms. A negative result for COVID was determined after swaps tested. I was given prescribed breathing meds and inhaler. Thank you Dr Thomas I am on the way to better!!! ????????????

Caring and respectful

Slight wait for the dr but otherwise great visit. I like her a lot. Very caring and intelligent.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Doctor Thomas is straight to the point. And she always listen to the patients.

I have been with Dr. Thomas for years, after seeing several other doctors who were disappointing. Dr. Thomas always remembers me and particulars about my history, both personal and medical. She is calm, efficient and listens. I know that medical providers everywhere are under great pressure to see lots of patients, but I never feel rushed or insignificant with her. I trust her completely with my care.

Dr. Thomas puts me at ease and seems to be listening carefully to me.

Dr. Thomas normally give me a blood sugar test. I I fasted the night before the meeting and tok only coffee and 1 lisinapril tablet before the. meeting. However this time I wink up the day after with fatigue so much that I had to stay home from work.
