Dr. Xiong is very knowledgable...
Dr. Xiong is a great doctor and really makes an effort to find the root of the problem. He tried a number of different treatments for my pain issues and not only did he help me, he encouraged me to maintain a hopeful outlook during the process.

Had a handful of visits so far—good bedside manner
Dr. Xiong is caring and attentive and thorough. He has answered all of my questions patiently and has been as conservative in recommending treatments as I have been comfortable with. Every patient needs to advocate for themselves whenever and however possible. The other reviews here which are negative feel more than a little unbalanced and arbitrary. Every doctor I've ever been to has either made me wait or has said or done things that are opaque, impatient, or even seem questionable. You have to be understanding that it's a challenging profession in a capitalist landscape—and that you have form a relationship which is balanced and in which you are in control of your life to whatever extent possible.

My granddaughter has been seeing dr. Xiong for years & referred me countless times. At 77 yrs old finally after seeing him for pain in my lower back down my legs, I scheduled an injection a few days later. It was as if he had waived a magic wand. After seeing other Dr's for years with no success this was a medical miracle for me. At my post-op visit I scheduled to have the injection for my right side. Within a week I had movement unassisted from my cane and no pain. Wonderful Dr & wonderful man!

Don't expect to be treated like a human being if his wife is answering the phones and "receiving" patients. You will not be treated with an ounce of the respect or reverence you deserve as a patient of a "medical doctor." It strains credulity that this accomplished Dr has someone so unfit to deal with the patients. Expect to be insulted and vastly disappointed.

Dr Xiong regularly double-books and triple-books appointment times. I've never once seen him at the actual time of my appointment and usually have to wait at least 45 minutes to see him. He is careless in his prescribing practices and is either ignorant about the medications he prescribes or pretends to be ignorant. When I ask him to change my medication he asks me what I'd rather be on, as if it were MY job to advise him in prescribing. He is condescending, defensive and unhelpful.

He's unprofessional and only looks out for himself. Their billing department consists of his wife whom is reluctant (and refuses) to provide any proper documentation about why you were billed. He frequently complains about how difficult it is for him to prescribe pain medication to his patients, stating that he could get in trouble or get sued. He's lost my chart a number of times and given me the wrong prescription. I have to check that he's given me the right medicine every visit.
