Dr. Yousef Maita, DO

My husband & I met Dr Maita as attending physician while my husband, Brian, has been in Mayo hospital cardio ward. Brian had unexpected need for cardio cath that Mayo identified when he came into ER for (unrelated to cardio) neck muscle spasm condition. In ER, Mayo drs drilled down on his routine EKG results, sent him to Observation dept, while there, did Stress Test that identified possible blocked artery. He had no previous cardio issues, or symptoms, even got “all good” 4 yrs ago from cardio work up that included Stress test etc. FYI cardio drs all above & beyond, special mention for Dr Blaine Traylor who followed Brian from Observation Dept through to before and after Cath procedure. Dr Miata has been attending in Cardio ward before and after that cardio cath procedure. He magnificently (yes that word is even understating Dr Maita’s care) treated a sudden and extreme muscle pain spasm that occurred while he was recovering from the successful cardio cath (correcting an 80% blockage). Dr Miata listens, is empathetic, reacts intuitively. All this the weekend leading up to and then day of St Patrick’s Day for cath. Lucky to have Mayo expertise & Mayo lucky to have drs like Dr Miata.

Dr. Maita is an exceptional doctor who stands out among the many medical professionals I have encountered. From the moment I met him, I could tell that he was genuinely concerned about my well-being and was committed to providing the highest quality of care.

Dr. Maita was so thorough and thoughtful during my hospital stay. He explained things very clearly and made sure to answer any questions I had.

I had a great experience with Dr. Maita. He took care of my father after diagnosing him with DVT. He was well mannered throughout the whole process and was very thorough with his explanations. We were very happy with the performance of Dr. Maita.

What an awesome DOCTOR!! He is very thorough. He Takes time to explain what is going on with the patient. I took my dad and Dr Maita was the one taking care of him. He has Excellent bed manner. Keep up the great work.

I was hospitalized for a few days. Dr Yousef Maita was my physician taking care of me. He is a superb doctor. He listens very well. He explained to me what’s going on with my situation very simply. I wish he’s my doctor for life. Thank you Dr Maita.

I had a problem with my medications and to be specific a problem with prednisone. I called Dr. Yousef and he advised me when and how to take prednisone and I followed his orders and was better a week later. Thank you so much Dr. Yousef for being patient and kind; regardless of how hectic and busy it can get at hospitals he still picked up the phone and helped me.

Doesn't listen. Meds while in Banner Baywood made me dizzy & awful diarrhea. Sent me home with two bottles of same meds. I am older, handicap & live alone. How stupid can a doctor be to want me to fight dizziness? Only wants money, the money. Thinking about bank acct, his. All tests at hospital came up negative. So why such strong antibiotics? Needless to say, meds not taken. Dizziness faded away within 24hrs. Never want to see him again. Had to come home to get better. Had to demand to be released.
