Lapses in Judgment and Harmful Therapy Shift
I share this review to inform and protect others navigating complex care. Dr. Yousaf Ali initially provided attentive care for my loved one with ANCA vasculitis, but his engagement declined during critical moments. When she began coughing blood, he dismissed it as non-urgent. Imaging was delayed, and we weren’t advised to go to the ER until she had trouble breathing. During her hospitalization, he was remotely involved with guidance despite being the primary physician and receiving multiple requests for an in-person review. Later, the ICU team—remotely guided and approved by Dr. Yousaf—switched from Rituximab to high-dose Citoxan without clear justification. After a second dose, she experienced immediate lung damage and required ICU readmission. The prescribing physicians were absent during the infusion and unresponsive to reported symptoms. This experience raises concerns about continuity, oversight, and deviation from proven treatments during high-risk care.

Terrific
I've seen Dr. Ali for about 6 years. I had seen many rheumatologists before. He is by far and away the most informed, patient, kind, and thoughtful doctor I've seen. He's gone out of his way to help me out to find medication more than once. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

Stay Away!
Dr Ali diagnosed me with an autoimmune disease and prescribed a very expensive medication without warning me about the side effects. When I consulted a different rheumatologist, he explained to me how this was the wrong medication for me since it could have interacted with my other meds, with potentially deadly consequences. When I contacted Dr Ali he gave me some vague excuses that seemed sketchy at best. Stay away!
