Dr. You Tay, MD

I thought she was great! I saw her in Sacramento this morning and she addressed ALL of my concerns and came up with a great game plan for my health moving forward. I look forward to follow ups with her and appreciated the time she took to make me feel at ease.

I’ve been having extreme hair loss, face is red and swelling up in weird areas. I was told by two primary doctors that I may be hypo thyroid. I finally received a referral to see an endocrinologist And was sent to dr tay. From day 1 she has refused additional testing even though I have a referral to get additional tests of my thyroid! She’s quick to diagnose me with high testosterone and wants to put me on birth control and other medications but won’t order an additional test to prove to me that is what the problem is, as I have no symptoms backing that statement up. She tells me that I don’t respect her position and advice as a doctor yet I have multiple other doctors telling me what the issue is. She’s not concerned with others opinions. Seems to me that she just wants to push me off and close the case. Why are you a doctor if you don’t want to help people? I would not recommend her to anyone that is seeking real treatment.

She is unprofessional and she would not help her patients.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Tay to anybody. She is a worthless mean person that does NOT need to be an endocrinologist. I have type 1 diabetes. I have to have insulin to keep me alive. Dr. Tay REFUSED to give me more insulin even though I was out and needed it. I ended up getting sick and had to go to the hospital because I was going into DKA all because she refused to prescribe me more medication.

She is very nice until one starts asking substantive questions. She appears to have very specific pre-conceived ideas that she relies on instead of listening to the patient. She does not tolerate differences in opinions; she seems to consider and value only her own opinion.

Very well informed about PCOS. She has it herself! She took her time and answered all my questions clearly and carefully outlined my treatment options and potential pros and cons. Friendly and engaged. Appointment wait times are for Kaiser Roseville where she is back filling, they are not her fault.
