Dr. Yong Hwang, MD

Dr Hwang listened to my symptoms, did a physical exam, discussed possible diseases and syndromes, then prescribed a thorough plan of attack to narrow down possible causes for my disease. Followed up with additional blood work after initial results came back. On follow-up visit he explained results and discussed further procedures and medicines to curtail advancement of symptoms. This was a very thorough template to find answers.

I had the same experience as others. I was diagnosed with RA for the past 20 years. It's been confirmed by 4 different rheumatologists over the years. Dr Yang told me my inflammatory markers were high and other labs were abnormal because of my weight. He said I only had osteoarthritis within 5 minutes of meeting me and hadn't even assessed me yet. He also said you won't like me because I don't hand out pills like everyone else. I showed him my RA pannus on MRI results and he said the tech probably said that to make me happy just like the other rheumatologists. I cried when I got to my car. Not only do I have RA but my new rheumatologist added Sjogrens and small fiber neuropathy to the list.

After examining me, he assured me that I had Osteoarthritis. The later blood test revealed that I indeed has Rheumatoid Arthritis. He then proscribed the wrong medication. He wasted a lot of my time.

Rude, didn’t give me time to explain my condition. Decided before my visit that I didn’t need the meds I have been on for 16+ years weren’t necessary and the that my condition “didn’t exist”. He was supposed to be highly recommended by my retired former doctor who took excellent care of my condition and dr Huang literally said “he was treating me to make me happy “. He is a “by the book” doctor so if your aren’t a “textbook” patient do not go to this man!
