Nicked an artery - never noted it in records
Dr. Vivas did a cardiac ablation in 2023, nicked an artery during the procedure and never noted it, never alerted recovery, never checked me out after the surgery although I was bleeding in recovery, and I asked if he had been informed. They said yes. Bleeding was stopped, and I was released without him seeing me, or telling me or anyone about the nick, and I began bleeding again at home and needed to call 911. Six more days in hospital, and they had to put in a stent to stop it. I felt he totally abandoned me after the surgery. Just another piece of meat to work on. The first time I had surgery where the doc didn't personally check me out before release, plus had the hospital caught it - they could have done a thrombin injection instead of the stent before my release the first time.

Best diagnostic and treatment
I was concerned about my irregular heart rate, so I underwent an EKG. Thanks to Dr. Vivas, who carefully reviewed the results and prescribed the appropriate medication, my heart rate is now normal. I am grateful for the time and attention Dr. Vivas dedicated to my care.

He did not show up for my pacemaker procedure. He change the time at the last minute then forgot about it. Left me in pre op for hours. No apology, just blaming the hospital and his own staff. Nothing got done. He sounded like a scared cricket about to get the hook put in him. He knew he had screwed up but was neither man enough nor professional enough to admit it. Avoid this fruitcake at all costs.

The worst place on earth. Vivas had a scheduled heart procedure for my 86 year old mother at delray medical center. My wife flies to Florida in order to help my mom. They arrived at delray medical center at 7:30 as directed by a nurse the day before. They wait 2 hrs in waiting area. 9:10 they call my mom in ready to have the procedure. She changes clothes she gets an IV and oxygen in the nose all standard. Vivas never showed up for the procedure. They say they have no idea where he is. Called the office of Dr Vivas they you guessed it had no clue where he was and then got the go to phrase in Florida he had an emergency. With modern technology I guess they couldn't let my mom, wife, or Delray medical center know he had an emergency. Geezz totally incompetent.

After being diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation, Dr. Vivas suggested I have an ablation. Dr. Vivas put me at ease explaing how the procedure would be performed using a cryoablation balloon. I underwent the ablation and I am completely satisfied with the results. I feel better and my symptoms are gone. I highly recommed him for his expertise. I am forever grateful to Dr. Vivas for giving me my life back.

Beware!! If you want to stay alive, don't go here..Dr Vivas provided incomplete and in accurate options to cure my Afib. after installing a Pacemaker and performing an AV node ablation one of the three leads was discovered to have came off during a post op follow up exam. Further, three attempts by him and his partner Dr Morel to properly program the pacemaker failed. I went to Dr. Baez at Cleveland Clinic who programmed it in 5 min. The lead required another operation to correct.

Dr. Vivas did a cryoablation on me in January 2016. I had on and off bouts with AF for over six months. He did the ablation and so far I haven't had any problems. I have seen him twice since leaving the hospital and his attention to my questions are answered without hesitation. He is friendly and listens. I have no problem recommending him and his staff for this procedure. Great doctor as far as I am concerned.

He is my mm's dr -& may be good he's become what the family calls the phantom doctor. My Mom's been to the hospital for an ablation twice. Now going on the 3rd time. First was OK - 2nd the nurses/staff couldn't find him so his associate handled it. This time she went into the hospital last night, still hasn't been seen & nothing's been don His associate Mora is coming in. Viva net her to Bethesda East vice West right next to her condo & then a no show. Looking for another Dr. who cares.

I have every confidence in Dr. Vivas. However he does not respond to my telephone questions if I leave a message for him to call me and his staff do not follow up to see if he's returned the call. I have had to work around this, but won't hold it against him! He is a good doctor and very pleasant to deal with.
