Dr. Ying Lu, MD

My daughter experienced prolonged illness for several months. Initially, we consulted another gastroenterologist who conducted only basic bloodwork and stool tests. When the results came back negative, he dismissed our concerns with a vague recommendation to 'eat yogurt.'Determined to find better care, I researched specialists and found Dr. Lu based on her outstanding reviews. I am incredibly grateful that I did. Dr. Lu was exceptionally thorough, taking the time to listen attentively, ask detailed questions, and demonstrate genuine concern for my daughter’s health. She conducted a comprehensive evaluation, including an endoscopy, and went above and beyond by ordering an additional biopsy to test for lactose intolerance.Thanks to Dr. Lu’s diligence, we discovered that my daughter has severe lactose intolerance—something we would never have known had she not taken the initiative to perform that test. Her expertise and dedication made all the difference in my daughter’s health.

For the last 7 years, Dr. Lu was one of my best doctors out there! She would always be there when there’s an issue or questions to ask. Been a great help with my parents and I enduring us the better. Making an appointment with her has never been a problem. She’s definitely a genuine and caring doctor. She would call back to also check on us! So yes she is such an underrated doctor and I would definitely love for her to be known more! Once again Thank you so much Dr. Lu!

We keep meeting Dr. Lu for two years, my boy's condition(the constipation starts from he ate solid food) Now he is four year-old, grows health and strong. She is a great doctor that we trust and thanks to her for the patient and quick respond our questions.

Dr. Lu has been a godsend for our family and our daughter who was diagnosed with IBD at the age of 5. She is extremely thorough, smart and hardworking. I felt confident in her care and medical decisions. Most of all, she has been a strong advocate for our daughter and does not hesitate to leverage the resources available to her to provide the best level of care. Dr. Ying Lu is an amazing doctor! I trust her implicitly! My son was in extreme discomfort when we saw Dr. Lu. She had so much compassion for my son. She spent a lot of time with us, hearing our concerns and then explaining the potential causes of my son's discomfort. She was reassuring us the entire time that my son would soon be feeling himself again. I cannot recommend Dr. Lu highly enough. All doctors should have her compassion, her professionalism, and her obvious skill treating children.

Dr. Lu is an excellent doctor! Not only is she professional, knowledgeable, and extremely detailed, she cares and takes time listening to her patients and their parents. She explains everything in simple terms and made sure her patients and their family understood.

Dr. Ying Lu is an amazing doctor who truly cares about children. She is a doctor that takes time never rushes you, and answers all questions. She is an angel for my son and is always there when we need her! Highly recommend her for your children. Not to mention my son has special needs and doesn’t like too many doctors and when he sees her is calm and loves her.

Dr. Lu, pediatric gastroenterologist was the right fit for a difficult situation of parents divorced, disagreeing on how to handle constipation issues, and the regular pediatrician's advice to use Miralax was ineffective and disastrous. Dr. Lu understood the issues, acknowledged the poor usage of miralax and its effects, and made new recommendations with alternatives that worked without the diarrhea, rashes, uncontrollable bowel movements. Telehealth visits also received the same care. My only issue is Not with the doctor, but the office and staff. Waiting time is excessive despite appointments made. There is no excuse as this recurs. Taking only "one parent" in for vitals is unfair and unnecessary now Post Covid. Be more mindful and inclusive that children have two parents and need equal treatment.

Dr. Lu always gives her patients the time they deserve and treats them with compassion and respect. She cares for her patients by taking the time to listen to all their complaints (even beyond GI issues) and educating them on their diagnoses and what to do going forward. Dr. Lu is the best physician I've ever met.

Dr. Lu has been my daughter's GI doctor for over 10 years now and she is like family. My daughter had GI issues that stumped us for a long time, but with Dr. Lu's perseverance and expertise, we were finally able to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. She is very thorough, follows up on whenever we had questions or had labwork done, and truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Lu is the best GI doctor for any child. She has been treating our daughter who has various health issues. Dr. Lu is always patient, extremely resourceful and very detailed oriented. She spends a lot of time with us on every single appointment whether it is in person or via telehealth. As a matter of fact, we just got off a telehealth appointment with her that lasted over an hour. She cares about her patients. Dr. Lu is really the best doctor we have ever met and we are forever grateful to her for all that she does. There is simply no one better out there! Thank you, Dr. Lu
