Dr. Yi Qin, MD

I saw Dr. Qin for several months, seeking help for persistent gastrointestinal issues. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, as my symptoms were frequently attributed to non-gastrointestinal causes without thorough investigation. Despite ongoing distress, no significant diagnostic steps were taken during my time under her care.Ultimately, another specialist ordered a Bravo pH study, which confirmed severe GERD, leading to a surgical recommendation. Even after presenting these results, I felt that my concerns continued to be dismissed. The delays in proper diagnosis and treatment resulted in unnecessary financial costs and travel, and had I not sought another opinion, my condition could have had serious consequences.While every patient’s experience may vary, I personally did not find the care I received to be effective or supportive.

Dr.Qin was knowledge.Interested in my medical history. Treated me with respect. Answered all my questions clearly and directly. Highly recommend see her for treatment.

Dr. Qin seems thoughtful and curious, so it was a surprise that I would be billed over $200 to answer a quick, general question about an upcoming test. Other Cleveland Clinic specialists have responded without charge, so that is some comparison to go on. It’s too bad. I believe she is competent, but I won’t go back.
