Great Doctor
Dr. Peng is a brilliant doctor who combines his scientific knowledge with your experiences, symptoms, and complaints. It took about a year and a half for him to fine tune my medications and completely stop my seizures without having terrible side effects like lethargy, headaches, etc. He definitely takes into account his patient’s medical history and lifestyle. Fine-tuning a treatment requires a lot of patience and analytical ability. I definitely credit Dr. Peng for getting me to a stable, symptom free state.

Wouldn’t give diagnoses
My life abruptly stopped when I suddenly lost control of my muscles & couldnt walk or hold simple objects, like a cup. One day I was very active, working and in perfect health and the next I was in a wheelchair unable to think clearly, bathe by myself or walk. My primary dr and drs at hospital felt I have MS based on symptoms, MRI and family history. Dr Peng says I do not. He only says my brain is “malfunctioning “. It has been 6 months and I cannot return to work. I need a diagnoses so I can apply for disability as my primary dr suggested. Dr Peng refuses to give diagnoses, he says it “doesn’t matter”. He continues, “All brain “malfunctions are treated the same”. He said he will start trying new pills to make my brain “on fire”. He will only tell me my brain is “malfunctioning “. He doesn’t listen. When I ask him questions, he says “it doesn’t matter”. He repeatedly says “your brain malfunctioning. ”Pretty sure my kids could have told me that :-/

I appreciate Dr. Peng's help.
I recently visited Dr. Peng and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and provided a comprehensive evaluation. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions in a clear and concise manner. The office staff was also friendly and accommodating. Overall, I highly recommend this neurologist to anyone in need of a professional and caring doctor.

I traveled 1 1/2 hours from Tahoe to Reno to receive a pre-arranged test from Dr. Peng; however he failed to review my medical record beforehand and as I was taking a blood thinner, was unable to complete the test in its entirety. My time and effort was wasted due to his lack of proper preparation.

Diddnt listen. Inturrupted constantly. Would not answer my questions. Ridiculed me for not being able to pay out of pocket. Never had a doctor shame me for being poor before.

He made it a point to ell me during my appt that he works for the Reno VA, and how great our VA system in. Then praised President Trump for looking out for our veterans. I found both statements extremely unprofessional and completely out of touch . After that I felt pressured and rushed to get out of his office. Suddenly he had other patients to see.

I was very pleased with my experience at Dr. Peng's new office. I can be a hard critic of hospitals and the people employed by them. Combine that attitude with an innate crankiness when I’m not feeling at all well and the result can be much less than pleasant. This time (My first time at his new office) was a world away from previous experiences when he was at Renown. It was good to be treated with professionalism and care. When I say the doctor and all the other employees in his new office made me feel that I was in safe hands and even made me smile when I left, then you can believe they are the best. I am truly grateful and won’t get that awful feeling of dread the next time I have to see him. I appreciated their follow-up and willingness to answer questions also. A big thank you to all of them.

Worst Doctor I've ever seen!! I waited 5 months to get in to see Dr Peng... I have full body twitches, from head to toe...body jerks, and burning sensations on the top of my feet....but I mostly have twitching on and around my eyes...they are beginning to slam shut on their own..and they're extremely sensitive.... Dr. Peng didn't even bother to do an examination...not even a reflex test... he would barley even look at me.. I felt like I was talking to a wall.. It was like he was there to just collect a paycheck... He showed no interest in finding the cause.... He told me it must be from an ATV accident I had 14 years ago.. Prescribed me a medication to try...and said come back in 4 months... Doctor Google was more helpful than Dr, Peng!!!!!!

I will not recommend this Dr to my family and friends. He seems to not really listen to your situation and doesn't care when you have a migraine. He doesn't look at your medical history and will repeat and ask the same questions at all your visits. I wasn't happy with as my Dr. I switched when he left the room laughing at me. I wasn't sure if our visit was over because he just stood up and left the room. He had no respect for me as his patient.

Dr. Peng has been my in-law's neurologist for 7 months now. We love him!!! Very understanding. Very informative. Takes the time to listen to our concerns, works well with our primary care physician, and the other providers that my in-law is under care with. The response time to phone calls isn't always the best, but if we ever had an emergency his office is very prompt. Great bedside manner, and has patience with my in-law and his condition.

He is not a man of his word. He bad mouthed my other doctor. He would not look or even try to get my records from my other doctors. Don't see him if you have an auto immune disease. Put me in hospital and then said it would take 2 months to get the ECG results. Don't waste your time! Still having seizures over top of the meds.... looking for new doctor.

Dr. Peng was one of the most unprofessional doctors I have ever experienced. I was supposed to get results from an MRI and EKG test and when he walked in the office he started talking about medicine I could take. I had to seriously probe about the results of my test and then had to probe even further about the results. He was very ambiguous and never answered any of my questions. He actually laughed every time I asked one.Do yourself a favor and go see a doctor who Will actually help you

Dr. Peng is the worst specialist I have ever been seen by. He did not want to listen to my symptoms. He did not review old medical records which involved four neck surgeries and he was very impatient both times I was seen by him. He did not like nor listen to questions I asked him. I would never recommend him to anyone.

As an inpatient, failed to look at medications used during hospitalization which caused a toxic encephalopathy. Instead misdiagnosed condition., recommending invasive brain procedures. Luckily transferred to another hospital for correct diagnosis, and condition was reversed without the invasive procedure he proposed.
