Dr. Yen Joe Chen, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Yen Joe Chen for several years. Always i hear that he is a good doctor from alot of people. Whenever I have a procedure he always explains everything about what to expect and wants the procedure to help you feel better. He always ask my husband and me if we have any questions which makes us very comfortable with his professionalism, attentiveness, and bedside manner.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have been waiting to see Dr Chen and was referred to him by my family physician. Twice my Docs office has sent in a referral, but they claim the first time was not what they needed and now they are saying they never received the second referral. I could not tell you if Dr Chen is any good, but I can tell you that his staff is rude and uncaring and do not belong in the medical field. I have had to contact my docs office again (after Dr Chen was referred to me from them and highly recommend) and they will be referring me to another Dr office. I guess if Dr Chen does not know what his staff is doing to the patients that call in, he better figure it out as this is how you end up out of business.

It is easy to get my injections scheduled with Dr. Chen. He always does a great job in getting rid of my severe back pain.

Great visit with Dr. Chen. He took the time to let me know what was wrong with my back.

It has been years since I've dealt with a doctor with exceptional bedside manners. He is that kind of doctor to me, took time to explain in detail the procedure and ask if I or my husband had any questions. Most doctors seem to have little time, or just rush through details as if everyone attended med school. He used everyday examples to describe what the purpose and outcomes could be, with a sense of humor, at a time I was nervous and I felt more comfortable going through the procedure.

I have been going to Dr Chen for quite a few years. His procedures and advice have been extremely effective. Now, except for a few occasions, I am pain free.
