Very friendly, but also professional. Spent enough time to explain everything.

Blood thinner should have been prescribed for 45 days so the device seals in place. Dr Akhtar said patient didn’t need the blood thinners after procedure. Eleven days later patient had a stroke. It’s been a year and patient can’t walk and is unable to use his left hand to dress or do the things one does in everyday life and has to have a full time caregiver. The patient was a very active individual and did volunteer work to help others (especially children). It has destroyed his life and that of his caregiver also. Please educate yourself before considering this procedure.

Dr Akhtar saw me recently in the hospital and he made me feel much better about my condition and made the most sense out of things than all the other doctors and practitioners combined. He was extremely nice and I recommend him highly.
