Avoid this doctor
I should have read these reviews before scheduling an appointment. I was also referred by my regular neurologist, in hopes he could shed some light on the progression of my symptoms. Right off he questioned me as to why I was even seeing him. Made to feel as though I was wasting his precious time and expertise. It went downhill from there. Dismissive, condescending, arrogant, rude and a horrible listener. He discussed his findings with the resident outside the door and then sent him back in to go over them with me. I do not think he diagnosed me correctly and will have to go back to my original doctor to figure out my next course of action. If I could withhold payment and give him zero stars I would. Find ANYBODY else.

Arrogant
He was rude and arrogant. I was referred to thru my neurologist. Upon arrival of my appointment He told me he would not see him and that I wasted his time by being there. He said he was a specialist and ,although, he did not have any records of my history, I did not fit into his area of expertise. He said he could be treating someone who really needed him. No apology for my time or for the misunderstanding between physicians. Do not schedule with hi?.

Dr. Harati diagnosed my CIDP 29 years ago after several neurologists could not. While I was under his care thereafter, my CIDP did not progress. He helped to inform the neurology community of what was then an almost unknown condition. He is sincerely committed to patients, has a gracious demeanor and patiently listens to patients and informs in a way that is understandable.

An absolutely brutal doctor who has no regard for his patients. He literally treated me to write a textbook, referred to me as a number, and didn’t care in the slightest about his patients emotions. He is an abrasive, downright rude old man and only cares about his textbooks rather than his patients. Stay as far away from him as possible, he’s just not worth it.

I was referred to Dr. Horati a few years ago. The referring doctor said that he would be able to diagnose my condition, probably during the first visit. This turned out to be the farthest thing from the truth. Dr. Horatio did not know how to diagnose my condition. In fact, I feel that he fabricated a name for it. He also was rude and disrespectful. During one visit, he almost shouted that I needed to lose weight. I've never been a large woman, but I feel that he used fat-shaming tactics, that were both inappropriate and unwarranted. So, no, I do not feel that he is an effective doctor, nor is he a caring or concerned doctor or person.

Dr. Harati was very helpful in my case. He was extremely knowledgeable and caring and compassionate. Unfortunately I did not see him first prior to getting a surgery on my foot that turned out to be a nightmare and a gimmick by a podiatrist! He would have advised me not to have the surgery at all and would have saved my foot. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing the best neurologist there is. He trained the neurologist that I currently see who speaks very highly of him. He is the best!

Dr. Harati diagnosed my problem when another neurologist couldn't. He allayed my fears and gave me confidence and hope in the treatment he proposed. He is calm, kind, very knowledgeable and professional. I hope he never retires because I will be his patient for the rest of my life. He is excellent. I would be in terrible shape if not for him.
