Misdiagnosed and never heard back with explanation
My mother was seen by Dr. Werdich and diagnosed with macular degeneration and told to come to her office to be given shots in her eyes every month for about a year. The doctor was only in the Brookline office once a week and the wait times to see her were sometimes hours long which was frustrating. We eventually took my mother to a different retina specialist and I am glad we did. We were told that she actually did not have macular degeneration. I was upset that my mother was put through monthly shots in her eye for no reason and reached out to Dr. Werdich by email and I left messages with staff for her to call me back so she could explain to me how my mother could be misdiagnosed. I never heard back from her which was upsetting. Maybe there was a good reason why she was misdiagnosed, but I would not know since she never followed up on my many messages asking for a return call.

She was very professional and yet very nice. My only complaint is that she didn't ask if I needed any refills for the drops I am taking.

The doctor and professional staff were pleasant, thorough, highly engaged in their work and very helpful. Front desk staff, not so much. Brusk on the verge of rudeness. Seemed like a burden to reception that patients actually showed up.

I have been treated by Dr. Werdich for a few months now. She is the fourth Dr. that has attended to my needs since I have been diagnosed with Macular degeneration in 2014. Two have since moved & one, I wasn't comfortable with their "bed side manner." I find her to be professional & understanding concerning my needs & I would recommend her attending to anyone that is in need of a Dr. concerning their Eye Ailments.

After a very extensive series of tests, met with Dr Werdich who explained my current eye status clearly and yet carengly. Not intimidating or rushing in her manner. Very outstanding credentials with a friendly personality.
