Dr. Xavier Jenkins, MD

Dr. Jenkins is exceptional. I was fortunate to have Dr. Jenkins as my surgeon that was called in for an unplanned surgery. He is professional, thorough and very caring. His nurse, Deeana and staff are wonderful as well. This nurse will always be grateful for the excellent care I received and without hesitation would recommend him to my loved ones."

First I have to say I believed he was a good guy that cared about me and family. He helped me and his warning about my GERD may have saved my life. That being said, he may not be completely competent. He removed 20 inches of my Dad's colon because of colon cancer. But Dr. Jenkins did not make notes that he cut in the region of ureter nerves and that Dad may need to cath. Because of mistake, hospital staff didn't cath or check output and my Dad got uremic poisoning and insurance wanted to sue. Dad asked them not to because after surgery, attending physician was his Primary and law suit would have thrown innocent doctor under the bus. This doctor was kicked out of Kansas/Missouri area for multiple mistakes and doctors back here have a low opinion of him. My new GI doctor won't consider any of what he said or notes and told me he was going to start new like I never saw Dr. Jenkins. I have mixed feelings about him, but I'd regret it more if he cost someone's life and I didn't say anything.

He joins the “come early and we’ll make you wait club” I totally respect the role of any doctor but to make you wait for over an hour leads people such as I to believe that our lives are not important. I can only imagine that it boils down to money and not the overall welfare of the customer. I do have other doctors who are quite timely and I have praised them in their reviews.

I met Dr. Jenkins through the emergency room and immediately felt comfortable with him and his bed side manner is great. I felt as if he genially cared. I had been dealing with my condition for several years and he corrected my problems with in months and got me back feeling better than ever. Thank You

I was referred to Dr. Jenkins to have my gallbladder removed. He was professional, thorough and compassionate during the office visits, as well as before and after surgery. I give him my highest recommendation.

We here in Hernando County are fortunate to have such a skilled surgeon as Dr. Jenkins serving our community. My hernia repair was performed by Dr. Jenkins and his team using robotic assisted laparoscopy. There was no overnight hospital stay needed and I went home the day of surgery. There was very little pain during recovery and I don't know what kind of special healing powders he used, but my incisions were already itching like they were healing the next day. I was able to return to light duty work and driving my vehicle on day number five following surgery. His office staff explained to me on my follow up visit that some people heal faster than others, but since I never noticed that at any other time in my life, I attribute my rapid recovery to his surgical skills and his mastery of the medical technology with which he is both talented and obviously well trained. I also recognize that Dr. Jenkins surrounds himself with other caring professionals in his office & on his surgical team.

I recently had a Cholecystectomy. Dr Jenkins, made me feel at ease, before, and after. Great staff as well. This was my first visit with him, but hopefully my last. I highly recommend him, if necessary

I met Dr. Jenkins at Oak Hill Hospital Emergency Room with a Small Bowel Obstruction. He explained the Robotic Surgical Procedure to me and performed the surgery the following day. This minimally invasive procedure surgery reduced my recovery time, pain, and infection risks. Being a retired nurse, I highly recommend Dr. Jenkins as a gifted, compassionate, professional who truly cares about giving the very best care to his patients. Thank you Dr. Jenkins.

Additionally, his staff Deborah and Kayla were sweethearts and treated me with the utmost respect and also took the time to speak with me to be certain I understood everything I needed to do.
