Not helpful, very dismissive
Absolutely terrible, cannot recommend. He seems to have an issue with listening, and seemed downright bored and uninterested in my concerns. He did not seem very knowledgeable as reading a couple NIH articles quickly disputed his suggestions. Personally, I feel like he lied to me instead of giving me adequate care. I made an appointment at the suggestion of my GP for LOW heart rates with accompanied by getting light headed (almost syncope), dizziness, fatigue and chest pain . His only suggestion was that my coffee intake was too high. Upon undergoing his further testing I got just a message stating 'all good' despite my actual concerns not being addressed, and overall not feeling any better. *Disclaimer: I did make the mistake of trying to communicate that I work in a STEM career field requiring me to comprehend research articles regularly and that I was looking into my symptoms. This seemed to be when he got the most dismissive and began to try to gas light me.

First time to be seen by Dr. Mechleb & will be my last. First impressions/visit was not a pleasant one.. I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly, & his nurse was very kind! When I saw Dr. Mechleb I felt very rushed & he didn't seem to listen very well. I have never seen a cardiologist before & was not familiar with tests he was wanting me to undergo. While he did give a very brief over view of them, one in particular I did not feel comfortable with & was initially told there was a less invasive option for the test which produced the same results. When I told him if there was a possibility to wait & do the less invasive one at a later time, he seemed to get irritated. I felt pressured into scheduling a test I didn't feel comfortable with.. Could of been just a bad day for Dr. Mechleb, but I will not be returning, nor recommending him to anyone.

Dr. Mechleb is treating my 86-year-old mother. I find him to be knowledgeable, forthright, open to questions, willing to take time to explain treatment, and kind to my mother. He is an excellent physician.
