Dr. Winston Chung, MD

My experience with this doctor was unfortunately aligned with the various unfavorable reviews I've come across online. His approach was dismissive and presumptuous, as he hastily diagnosed my condition without a proper discussion. Furthermore, his reluctance to consider my apprehensions about adjusting my medication was disheartening. Additionally, his inappropriate comments regarding my previous doctor, whom I hold in high regard, were entirely uncalled for. I would recommend seeking care elsewhere.

Dr Chung is a quite insensitive for a psychiatrist. As background, I'm a young professional with a limited social circle as I'm new here, and was suffering from a dark depression when I came to him. From the outside, I look quite healthy and normal, and it's likely my friends and coworkers cannot tell when I'm depressed; however, I have suffered bouts of depression in the past, and debilitating anxiety, bipolar disorder, and dementia run in my family. At one point, it was so bad I was struggling to get out of bed, all I could see and feel was blackness, and I was taking random sick days from work. I had asked him for some medication to get through this period before this spiraled into a period where I could potentially lose my job - which would most definitely spiral into a deeper depression with a indeterminate end. In response, he was quite cold and insinuated that I was asking for medication I did not need, that "he does not like to give out medication that is not needed."

Saved my life. A decent committed professional that took a special interest in my situation.

Dr. Chung is one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered. Was completely condescending, made rampant (and incorrect) assumptions about me, told me what my "problem" was before I even uttered a word to him, did not listen to or appreciate my concerns about changing my medication regimen, and made unprofessional and disparaging remarks about my former doctor (who was excellent). Avoid.

Got basic facts wrong about my wife, then got diagnosis completely wrong. I am in the process of filing a formal complaint with his current employer.

Dr Chung is arrogant, cocky and condescending. He spent a lot of time acting like he knew it all as opposed to learning about what was wrong. As a person in this field you would think he would be a good listener and gather facts however he came from a place of Ive got you read perfectly without knowing all the details/facts. Would not recommend.

Worst patient care I have ever experienced. Dr. Chung is uncaring and incompetent.
