Dr. Wilson Velazquez, MDPA

Dr. Velazquez and the entire staff are very kind and professional people. Dr. Velazquez always takes his time with me and he explains things very well. He also sits and listens to what I have to say. I never feel pressured to choose a treatment plan and I've come to really trust him because he is the first Doctor to give me relief from my pain. I will definitely continue to see him.

My 1st appointment w/Dr. Velazquez was in Sept. '23. My wait time was reasonable and my initial exam thorough. If you are not of the Christian faith, it's ok, but Dr. Velazquez is, and he asked permission to pray over me which I readily accepted. I've read other reviews of people stating they felt pressured to have procedures, but they need to understand that chronic pain management involves a varied treatment plan, not just meds. I received an epidural Nov. '23 and was expecting only minimal relief d/t past experience. I firmly believe a combination of Dr. Velazquez' skill level and faith in our Savior allowed me to achieve 50% pain reduction after 2 weeks. After falling down 18 concrete steps and fracturing my ankle, Dr. V immediately called in a script and the office staff called me to ensure I received the medication, and I was obtaining pain relief. I don't want to specify names for fear of leaving someone out, but everyone in the office is awesome! I could go on forever!

This doctor is so unbelievable cavalier in his practice that he really needs a wake-up call for being a conniving, money hungry doctor. I was hoping he wouldn’t do the usual thing pain management physicians do, which is pressure for injections that debilitate you for at least a whole day. No one even get a set of vital signs and they billed my insurance! My regular doctor retired, and I was referred to this guy for pain management. I really only wanted a safe and comfortable reduction in my meds for a few months, and ultimately to be rid of them. This doctor was the most condescending “professional” I have yet to meet in person. I could hear him pressuring some poor old lady in the next room for injections, and the woman was just saying she was scared. Once in the room with me, he quickly determined myself, and my spouse were of a high income level, pressured me for injections, and wanted to put me on one expensive meds. This is how people go downhill when in a difficult spot.

El Dr. Velazquez es muy profesional y competente. Su equipo de trabajo es muy atento, educado y estan bien preparados profesionalmente . La Sra. Norma y La Sra. Terri son son personas maravillosas y atentas con el paciente. Esta clonica atiende pacientes con dolor lumbal, de rodilla y otros dolores. Yo fui por dolor de rodilla y se los aconsejo 100%.

I have been seeing Dr. Velasquez couple of years now and he listens. I love that he will sit down and listen not most doctors do that anymore. I highly recommend him..

A totally sincere Dr. who has a wonderful bed side manner. I have been in back pain almost 5 yrs. and this professional has given me relief beyond anyone else in the business. He is honest and cares for his patients and that is a gift that is not easy to see in some Drs. Today!

This is a dr who is very conniving. He doesn't care about his patients. He doesn't look it but he will, very subtle, ask what you or your spouse what you do for a living. As soon as he knows you have a good job he will give you, not just the most expensive but the newest medication in the market so he can get paid! If you can't pay it he will disappear and not return your msg, so you will feel forced & have no choice but to get it so you wont be without your medication! His staff is just as bad if not the worse! Because they know he's doing it and lie saying they can't get ahold of him. They give appmts at 8 knowing he won't show up until 9-9:30 so you have to wait a long time just sitting IN PAIN!!! They schedule 2 or three people at the same time or in 15 minute increments, knowing it takes longer to get in to see him. I put up with this until he put my life in danger by not filling my medication & I had bad withdrawls! I DO NOT recommend at all! If I could I'd give 0 stars!

Dr. Velasquez and his staff are very professional and know how to run there office. He is not a doctor to go to if you are wanting pain medication and things like that. He practices "safely", and also prays with you. He is a Christian and knows how to deal with all kinds of patients. I have been seeing him now for about 8 months, and I have been impressed. I am a former nurse, so I know what to look for in doctors, and their bedside manner. His NP, Caroline Garcia is awesome. She will go over all the alternatives with you and help you understand the side effects of any medication, treatment, injection, and even alternative medicine. I have other doctors that I can see, but I choose to see Dr. Velasquez because he understands my pain, and can help me deal with anything that comes my way.

Have seen Velasquez for several years. Left the hot shots in San Antonio when I heard about him. An honorable christian man with fantastic bedside manor and morals. Truely considerate. If your looking for dope instead of honesty he's not your guy. If your looking for honest pain management he's the man!

This is easily the most disrespectful doctor I have ever been too. This doctor does the same injection on every patient regardless of the painful area. He will continue to do the same injection forever if you will allow it. Unfortunately medicaid patients have no other pain management doctors available to them, so this doctor will continue to have patients that will weather the abuse, desperately hoping their pain will be managed. He lies about the pain medicine laws and should not be a doctor!

The staff I've come across have been very helpful and professional. I totally recommend anyone that is experiencing back pain or have been diagnosed with a spinal problem to see Dr. Velasquez. I've had two procedures done and I'm very pleased.
