Have been in treatment for close to 13 years. An excellent psychiatrist. Well versed in current treatment methods and willing to work closely with you to find the best approach to handling your health problems. Easily one of the best psychiatrists I have ever worked with.

I have been seeing him for 12 years. He is by far the most compationate, coupled by his extensive knowledge of psychiatry and non judgmental. He is definitely not in it for the money. He does his job because he cares about people. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have been discharged from the military with a pension. He is the one who fought for me and diagnosed me with the medical board with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He himself is a vet, a former Army doctor.

There have been several attempts to reach Dr. Shanken to have him renew a med.The message was that the prescription is in the mail.The prescription has NEVER been received even after several messages that it was always in the mail.Today there was a message given that Shanken no longer worked out of that office;when asked who it was that was giving that info,the person did not respond other than to transfer the call to Shanken's voicemail.His vm stated he was out until 01/04.Today is 01/22.
