I am disgusted not only was he only half listening to me and on his computer half the time but when I told him that I was sexually assaulted just TWO DAYS AGO. He asked me why it bothered me so much and why I’m still thinking about it and my life would be much better if I stopped thinking about it. these were his words what a disgrace. Find a new profession. This is not for you.

At first he was fine but as time went on he got a little weird on me do not recommend this doctor and the staff have nasty attitudes except for a few staff members I had gotten to the point where I couldn’t stand going to this facility any longer

I have been seeing Dr. Whissell since ,2007 from his East Point clinic to the current downtown, River Edge. Since the pandemic I've been fortunate enough to have telehealth appointments. He listens, he cares is a great doctor. Thank goodness for people like him!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I don't think he even believes ADHD is real. Strong statement, I know, but he earned it. There are few human beings on the planet I have less respect for than this man,

Felt compelled to share experience w/ Dr Whissell. Saw another review & wanted to let them know they arent alone! Months ago. First visit = rocky, productive, he questioned everything. Second visit=downhill. Didn’t return. Rude, unprofessional, doesn’t explain or care for side effects or life outside of that appointment, very ethically questionable, untrustworthy and easy for judgements, unhealthy. facility is your last resort, request a different doctor. Nurses and caseworkers are nice.

Doctor is extremely unethical openly admitting false diagnosis. He should not be allowed to continue practicing. His conduct is egregious! Also, his lack of professionalism coincides with his lack of ethics.

I've been to several psychiatrist over the past 10 years. Dr. Whissell seems to really listen and care about his patients as opposed to just prescribe medicine and push you out the door. Of all the psychiatrists I've dealt with, I'd say he is very good and knowledgeable.
