Dismissive attitude
Came to ER with severe stomach pains, vomiting and diarrhea. Spent much of time talking about my serve reaction to bug bites which I also had. He questioned my knowledge of insects. Treatment given to settle stomach pain, diarrhea and vomiting. Grateful for treatment but his bedside manner was condescending. This could have been a much higher rating if he wasn’t condescending.

Went to the emergency room with an infection at night. Good Samaritan Hospital's emergency room doctor decided I needed to be transferred to OHSU, but there was no bed immediately available there. When the first ER doctor handed me off to Dr. Treloar at the end of her shift, Dr. Treloar became irate that he was, in his words, "just babysitting for OHSU" and that "this was their problem, not his". Needless to say, I was not exactly comfortable remaining in the care of this doctor until transfer

I hated every single minute of having this "physician" wait on me during an episode that landed me in the ER. He was curt, short, and snippy as he communicated. He would disappear for HOURS, in such a way that even the nurses couldn't find him when questions needed to be asked. At one point he told me I was to have a "treadmill test," and that he'd submitted the request. 4 hours later, still waiting to hear what was going to happen, turns out he missed the cut-off time, but didn't tell me.

I would like to suggest that Mary's Peak Physicians become in in-network provider for Providence / PEBB. When we go to the emergency room, we don't have time to ask whether the doctor we will be seeing is in the insurance company listing.

I was attended to by Dr. Treloar after visiting the emergency room at Good Samaritan. He was very approachable and explained the situation in a congenial and concise manner. He answered my questions and established rapport and confidence. Considering the circumstances of my 'visit', I was at ease with the process and pleased with the eventual outcome. Thank you!
