Great Doctor.
I've been going to Dr. Sherry for 23 years now. He is super thorough and gets me in and out. If i have any issues they get me in promptly to take care of it!!

Be warned please
I have fibromyalgia and been with him for years. Don’t care for him but I gave him another chance. First thing he yells at me to go to sleep dr, I have….nothing helps…cpap and all. I have allergy issues and I really just need disability but I have to work. I don’t think he wants to really help people with fibromyalgia. Last two times he told me to tell another doctor to increase my meds on his meds….huh???? Then get this he sent me to another Dr and didn’t tell me it was for something to put in my chest???? It was a 5 min apt and I wasn’t even told what was going on. Wrong for sure! I never know my test I have to ask. Greed is his thing. Not going back! Be warned!!!

Awfully full of greed! – Apr 11, 2022

My first visit was okay. He ordered tests and seemed like he wanted to find out what was wrong with me. My second visit didn't go well. I don't know if he was having a bad day or if his true personality came out. He was condescending, arrogant, and almost just plain rude. He rattled off a few results, but I still have no idea what tests he actually ran because he won't post them on the patient portal. I would not recommend this doctor. One good thing is that I didn't have to wait long for either visit. In fact, they took my back to a room earlier than my appointment was scheduled. I just wish the doctor actually at least acted like he cared about my health.

Shergy (doesn't deserve to be called Dr) cost me 30 pounds of muscle, let me lay in the hospital for weeks and never gave me a diagnosis while another doctor diagnosed me four days into my hospital stay but Shergy took the lead and would not treat based on that doctors opinion. It was said Shergy was retiring so I almost didn't leave a review, but truth is, I used him because it was thought he was knowledgeable and a good guy, but he turned out to be a nightmare. I dropped him and went to Vanderbilt and they diagnosed me with exactly what Dr Alpaty diagnosed with at Huntsville Hospital after 4 days in, but Shergy would not diagnose and they had the lead so I kept wasting away and Shergy's office was the first one to hound me for money when he almost killed me. NEVER gave me a diagnosis over a month, but first to try and collect $58. If Alabama law was not so protective of fools like this, I would have sued him. Looking back, I put a lot of faith in a low life.

Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this man. Lacks compassion; thinks he’s God. Inflexible once he decides what your condition is and will not change his mind even when presented with facts from brochures in his own office. Takes kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies.

I have had fibromyalgia since 1992. I have been going to Dr. Shergy since then. He is not all warm and fuzzy, but extremely knowledgeable and has tried several meds to get me the right combination. I see him every 4-5 months. I continue to go to him and his staff due to they know what they are talking about. Love this group off docs and staff.

Does not listen to patient, does not seem to be curious to find causes or treatments of symptoms, brief patient encounters in a hurried manner. Switching rheumatologist after several years.

Dr. Shergy has been my rheumatologist since 1988. Over the course of 30 years of very active disesase, Dr. Shergy has kept trying new ideas and even hospitalized me once with high dose steriods. I got Remicade 5 years prior to FDA approval for my disease thanks to his extremely well written appeal to BCBS. Like all doctors, they are overloaded with patients, but you will not find a more knowledgeable, more dedicated, and most of all, most effective rheumatologist. I'll alive today due to him

The first time I saw the Dr. I thought he was nice. After that he seemed rushed and not compassionate and didn't seem to care that I was in pain. However, something has changed and he seems more personable and its taking time to listen.

I have seen Dr. Shergy three times over two years. He was very professional & courteous. He suggested ways to improve my health without judgment for my super-morbid obesity. The tests that he recommended were reasonable. The staff has been very professional & courteous too. I would have no hesitation about recommending Dr. Shergy.

Made me say I had bad bones. Only would let me use one thing to help the one area that actually even had the osteoporosis. That med he gave me gave me severe leg pain for 6 months. I had to use narco for the pain.

Supposed to have prolia shot in April. Staff lost insurance info and therefore precertification was May 11. Had prolia shot over a month later on June 13. Shergy would NOT accept fault. Very disappointed in his lack of professionalism and accountability.
