Dr. William Sauve, MD

Met him at the TMS Greenbrook Glen Allen location. Seemed fine at first and was hoping to continue my treatment with the same . I did know that what I was taking in Florida vs Virginia was not the “brand name” or commonly called, “off label medication,” but was still drug just not name brand, and I was aware of that. After meeting Dr. Sauve he glazed over my medication sheet and goes on the tell me that I am, “prescribed way too many controlled medications,” for which he did NOT ask about my personal background or any of the things that caused all these past traumas or PTSD problems. Just told me flat out “I am on way too many medications from my old Florida doctor.” Anyways he says that my current psychiatrist, “for which he has never met her, and she is prescribing the exact same medications as my Florida psychiatrist, but “says she is great.” So I get told I am on way too many drugs even though I know they give you a larger dose with the “name brand.”So YES NEVER COMING BACK!

So far so good. One of the better psychiatrist out there. Probably one of the most helpful. Was very upfront and honest about TMS and the outcome.

I went to the consultation appointment with my wife to decide if TMS was the right approach for her. She's gone through 3 psychiatrists in the past 18 months who were nothing more than prescription factories. We'll see how well she responds to TMS. Dr. Sauve was great to talk to and he explained exactly why she was having issues on medication (side effects are worse than symptoms) and how TMS may address the real problem. Time will tell.

We made great progress in the psychotherapy sessions. I highly recommend is psychiatric medical services.

I was looking for a doctor to tell me how it really is. I've been to doctors my whole life who just seem agreeable with what I'm asking. I wanted someone to explain to me why things are the way they are and he did. He was honest and told me there was a good shot that TMS would help (it really did!), but if it didn't, there wasn't much to lose besides time and a little money (my insurance covered most). I've recommended him to several people since.

First of all, they say they prescribe medication on websites but once I get there, they state they don't prescribe medication. I asked why there might be misinformation, the woman at the front yelled and even cursed at me. When I asked to speak to a health care administrator, she said she was the administrator (I think she was confused with an administrative assistant, maybe she was so mad). Finally, when I met with the doctor he carried an attitude for upsetting his delicate staff and left.

Dr. Sauve took his time and explained everything very thoroughly. Even though I only saw him a few times, the interaction between he and his staff was flawless. All of my questions and concerns were answered each and every time. He's one of the most forward thinking and effective psychiatrists I've ever been to.
