Not updated migraine care
I went here for almost 2 years and he favors one medication for migraines and thats about it. I didn't feel listened too or understood. I have gotten so much more information and options from my general doctor than I ever got here. He also does not write any medical notes at all for work, school, etc. I still remember when I first went in with migraines 65% of the time and he said “is this really that big of a deal then?” Because he couldn’t take two seconds to actually listen and ask more questions. Im not sure of his treatment with things other than migraines but the overall lack of understanding, treatment, and current knowledge is concerning.

Excellent neurological specialist! Takes time to diligently assess and research each aspect of patient’s condition in both an easy to understand presentation coupled with an affable & engaging personality. The best!!

I have been very frustrated during my visits at the lack of compassion for my condition. I had to fill out a form which he also had to fill out and I turned in my part to him in plenty of time for him to get it in to the DMV, my license may now be suspended because he "doesn't like to do paperwork and my office is busy". Do not expect any empathy from this old school doc. He seems like his compassion was used up long ago. When I have seizure activity I feel like I have no one to call and get advice or even support if he can't do anything to help.

Extremely thorough in his evaluation of my work injury! Dr. Samuels was more than willing to COMPLETELY explain what was going on in my back. He discussed options, possible outcomes, advice, and honest opinion about suggested surgeries from other physicians. I highly recommend Dr. Samuels! I don't highly recommend to many Dr's that I've seen while in the workman compensation system in California. It's refreshing to finally be seen by a professional honest Dr.
