Dr. William Richardson II, MD

I returned for my annual routine eye examination with Dr.Richardson this afternoon. I made it perfectly clear that I purchase FEP Blue Vision Insurance for my routine eye exams. I explained to Dr.Richardson that my Medicare Insurance doesn’t cover routine eye exams, and that his office has billed me for my refraction for the past two years. He did not offer me a refund, for the extra co pays that I’ve been billed by his office, and that zi e paid to his office. He made it perfectly clear that he was only providing a refractive office visit at today’s appointment…which is fine, since I also see and am followed by a Retina specialist in Lexington. Dr.Richardson is very knowledgeable, but I’m not certain that he realizes that senior citizens who live on a fixed income, cannot afford extra costs associated because he has billed for something that isn’t covered under this Vision Plan. I do purchase my glasses and lenses from Georgetown Eye Care as well!
