Dr. William Plunkett, MD

Dr Plunkett always takes time to listen to me and I never feel like he's rushing to get to the next patient. He also makes things easy to understand and doesn't try to over medicate.

I’ve been a patient of Dr.Plunkett’s for quite a few years now. I’ve never felt rushed during an appointment and he addresses any concerns if I have any. If you find yourself having trouble finding a doctor you can actually communicate with, do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Plunkett.

Spoke more about himself and his wife than my concerns. I felt talked down to, but that is the case with most doctors in Louisiana.

Doesn’t spend a lot of time with patients. Doesn’t really listen to all your patient before he’s up and trying to walk out the door to his next patient. Just really bad bedside manner.

Dr. Plunkett is the best primary care doctor I’ve ever had. He genuinely cares for the happiness of his patients. Very kind! I definitely recommend this doctor 110% :)

Dr. Plunkett is always amazing. He goes the extra mile. I needed paperwork filled out for work and he filled out the paperwork right away and had it faxed.

I’m a new patient, and I’m still developing a relationship with Dr. Plunkett. This has been an ongoing problem with the healthcare providers that I’ve dealt with prior to becoming a patient. I have nothing against Nurse Practitioners, but they seem to come and go. I found he has a great staff, efficient. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to be called back. This is true for all the North Oaks Physicians that I have dealt with ( including Surgeons.) Dr Plunkett listens , and has addressed all my issues. I’ll probably rate him as a 5 within months. Downside of the North Oak system….. I know that having a central switchboard greatly increases efficiency. I’ve found that it is becoming better. But most Doctors will give you a direct phone number. I have found some of the Operators will give a new patient a spiel, saying that a doctor is not accepting new patients. When I can speak directly w physicians staff, I’ve always been accepted. I can honestly say I trust Dr. Plunkett with my life after a bad experience with a previous nurse practitioner and I will be sending my son to him as well!

He’s very straightforward. Easy to deal with listens gives good recommendations. Would recommend him for a doctor for anyone.

Dr Plunkett is very easy to talk to, he takes time to get to know his patients. He run various test on his patients before giving a diagnosis or medication treatment. He or/and his staff even calls the patients "if need be" to go over, or explain a health issue. I know I can be a nuisance "MOST OF THE TIME,LOL" but Dr Plunkett understands,and has not refused me continuing coming, and calling his clinic. Thank You Dr Plunkett, youre truly one of a kind. My appointment times are always right on time staff is always the friendliest. If you have a question about anything you can message him through mychart and is answered quickly. Always listens to any of my concerns and has a great personality. Every appointment I have is never a dread of going and leave out of there satisfied every time!

My visit with Dr Plunkett went well and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a primary care doctor. He listened to what I had to say & was very interested in helping to get me the answers I needed concerning my health. Also his staff was helpful & friendly to me.

Dr Plunkett’s office is welcoming and well run. Appointments are easy to make and waits are short. Dr Plunkett is a knowledgeable and caring physician who allows time to hear and respond to all concerns. He fully explains in language easy to understand, allowing you to leave confident of treatment and medicine recommendations. I would recommend Dr Plunkett to all!

Dr Plunkett is always thorough and listens to issues. He clearly explains test results and makes sure that I understand medicines and any instructions given.
