Avoid this cataract mill!
Terrible! He was not available to answer questions prior to cataract surgery, but his office was quick to try to schedule the surgery. He did not explain my condition and was very vague. He did not explain prognosis or options. He tried to make decisions for me instead of giving me the correct information to make my own decision. Luckily, I went elsewhere for a second opinion and avoided this cataract mill.

I thought Dr McSwain did a great job, all business very professional really like him as a provider. Now the rub, over over booked and 40 to 50 minutes late. Big practice and patience experience needs to improve, wouldn’t recommend for this reason.

Dr. McSwain removed my cataracts this last Spring/Summer and yesterday (December) he removed a cyst that was on my eyelid. He is extremely knowledgeable, confident and efficient. He has a very quiet manner and explains things in detail. He does not make you feel as if you are being rushed. I would definitely trust him in anything that needed to be done to my eyes.

Had to see Dr. McSwain for an eye mini-emergency, because my regular ophthalmologist at the practice was not available. Was pleasantly surprised by this new doctor, whom I had avoided when I started going to this office as he was just beginning his professional life.. However, he was quietly confident, attentive, responsive to queries and concerns, and inspired confidence. Time will tell if he is able to sustain his affable chair-side manner; here's hoping.
