A Rare Breed
So much to say, but let it suffice, this doctor comes from the good old fashioned mold of patient care over $$ and bedside manner over how many patients can be seen in a day. His listening skills makes a patient feel like there is no one more important than you. His knowledge base is enhanced by keeping up with his profession, and yet, when a specialized opinion is called for, Dr. Martin does not hesitate to recommend the best options available.

Attentive and detailed
Competent doctor and very caring individual. He found a tumor of mine at a very early stage during a routine exam (seemed like just a small cyst or pimple) and kindly insisted I take a referral to a specialist. I’m so grateful that he did, as I intend to shrug off medical issues sometimes and this turned out to be a real issue that needed immediate removal. Dr. Martin listens intently to his patients, and takes the time necessary to help you seek healing. You don’t feel as though you are 90-seconds-and-on-to-the-next-patient with him. He takes as long as is needed to come to a solution or seek further assistance. So grateful to God for this provider.

Dr. Martin was my physician for for several years when he practiced in N H. He was very caring, attentive and proactive. In 2014, as an inpatient at our hospital, I suffered a series of cardiac areests. Dr. Martin assembled a team of nurses and doctors, and fought valiantly for over 20 minutes to save my life, even after a helicopter crew call ed in to transport me recommended that he "let me go". I miss this fine man to this day!!!

My son is a patient of Dr. Martin for a few years now and I am very thankful that we have found him. My son has Autism and also a life threatening heart condition. Dr. Martin co ordinates his care with the Cardiologist at Maine Med., the amazing care he receives his heart function has improved from near fatal to almost normal. He also has a great personality that makes his patients feel at ease. He truly cares about his patients. I can not express my gratitude for helping to save my sons life.

Dr. Martin was new on the staff when I moved. He was more about making referrals than about making a diagnosis and a plan to improve my life with a chronic malady. I traipsed to many tests with negative results and a few treatments with little improvement. When I took my husband with me to appointments Dr. Martin spoke with him about my condition more than with me. I regret that I stayed with him as long as I did.
