Great Electrophysiologist
Dr. Maddox is kind and considerate, listens to concerns. But most of all, he is skilled and very knowledgeable in the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation. The entire staff have been very polite, caring and helpful.

Fixed my problem
After getting a pacemaker that did not fix my afib, I switched to Dr. Maddox, who offered an ablation. My first ablation eight years before had worked well but involved a long hospital stay and several weeks before I felt normal. So I hesitated. But when I finally had the ablation, it was very easy with almost no recovery. So I definitely recommend him based on this experience.

Cannot figure out how to help me
I saw Dr. Maddox for heart rythym issues (super high heart rates and passing out and some episodes of low heart rate). After wearing a monitor for 30 days that showed over 200 episodes of tachycardia he attempted a cardiac ablation which was not successful. At my 6 month follow up I complained of continued episodes of tachycardia and episodes of passing out and feeling light headed. I was told this was just my body’s normal rythym. I’m not a doctor but a resting heartrate of approximately 95-115 is not normal. Simple things like walking from the couch to the bathroom (maybe 15 feet) will get my heart rate into the 120-140 range. He offered to “let me” wear another heart monitor if it would “make me feel better”. I feel belittled by this suggestion and I feel like I am not receiving the proper care I should be regarding my heart rythym issues as well as getting light headed and dizzy and passing out. I was hopeful when I first saw him but he is just not the dr for me

In 2017 Dr. Maddox suggested I have an ablation to correct the AFIB I was experiencing. Six months later he said I needed a pacemaker to correct bradycardia. The two procedures were very successful and I no longer have problems with arrhythmia. I continue to see him for my annual check-ups and I tell him every time that he saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone with heart problems.

Cardiac ablation
I am absolutely shocked at how much better I feel after having a cardiac ablation. I felt a difference right after having the surgery. This has absolutely changed my life and I can’t thank Dr Maddox enough.

This doctor has been a blessing to our family. When no other doctor could or had the skills "cardiac ablation" to help my father, Dr. Maddox said YES! He saved my fathers life multiple times. He never hesitated to life flight my father from Fl to AL. We were given more time, years to be with our Dad when it would have been only days. As my father was succumbing to HF tragically my husband was diagnosed with HF. Here in Orlando Fl they sent him home and said all they could do was an ICD. They gave us no hope at all. I immediately called Dr. Maddox and he agreed to see us. He now is treating my husband. A man that was almost in a wheel chair feels so much beetr and is back to work back on his feet again! We cannot thank Dr. Maddox enough!! He is an earthy angel saving lives every day!!!! From the Rogers and Cook Families.....THANK YOU DR. MADDOX AND HF TEAM GOD BLESS YOU ALL

If Dr Maddox does not want to do a procedure then he should not schedule it more than 2 months out and cancel 2 days before procedure. Claiming he needs different equipment. Poor behavior.. would never recommend to anyone
