I had a 1 hour plus session with Dr. Leasure on June 27, 2016 at Mayo Clinic. He was very thorough to analyze my bipolar disorder. I was impressed by his dogged pursuit of my recollections that I later thought were manic episodes. He suggested medication (Lithium) which I have been taking under supervision of Jimmy Chen, M.D. in Gaithersburg, MD. Lithium has worked very well to control my bipolar disorder. I would have liked to have more visits with Dr. Leasure but he wouldn't allow them.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Leasure?
Dr. Leasure is a nice, up-and-coming doctor who is new at the Mayo Clinic and still in the grooming and learning process. He's very willing to listen and help with medications or give advice. He does make an effort to develop a therapeutic relationship but isn't overly empathetic or sensitive. For best results, I think he prefers to be told exactly what the problem is and desired solution/action plan.

Dr. Leasure made decisions about my treatment before even interviewing me. He also talked down to me and spoke as though my concerns weren't legitimate.
