Dr. Keating is very friendly and puts the patient at ease, asking questions and, importantly, listens to patients' concerns. He is very active in dealing with addiction issues and, for the general patient, quick to refer to specialists if the issue is not within his expertise.

Long time patient
My wife and I have been seeing Dr. keating for over 15 years. Now all my children and their children are his patients also. I have never met a more caring doctor then Dr. Keating. We moved here about 7 years ago but visited our sons who lived here since 1998. My wife had thyroid cancer that none of her doctors back home caught. While visiting my wife went for a checkup and Dr. Keating found a cancerous thyroid. He possibly saved her life. We had it removed as soon as we returned home. That was 14 years ago and she is fine today. I LOVE this doctor. If you are not a patient you are missing one of the most caring and competent doctors I have ever met

A doctor who devotes his time to his patients.
Been a patient of Dr. Keating for years and never an issue. He has always takes the time to explain things to me and is open to hearing ideas I would like to try for my specific illness. Wait time is usually about 10-15 mins for morning appts. Staff has changed over the years I have been going there. Sometimes great people and other times no so good. However, I rate a doctor on his service and not his staff.

I was "fired" as a patient after 3 years of care. They sent me a letter saying that they were sorry to hear that I wasn't happy with their services. I've never complained (until now). I've never had an outstanding balance, and I've never asked for narcotic prescriptions. When I asked them why, they gave me the runaround telling me that they've already told me why and that we were "going in circles", but they haven't explained anything at all. They first tried to blame it on the fact that I moved 30 minutes away, but yet I've never been late to an appointment. William (office manager) was very rude and dismissive, telling me he had another call to get to and didn't want to answer my questions anymore. Again, no answers at all. Before this happened I would have highly recommended Keating Family Medicine but now, I don't even know what to say or what tell a new physician. I've never heard of someone who is supposed to provide care and compassion be so cold and dismissive.

RELATIONSHIP STARTED OUT FINE BUT LEARNED YEARS LATER THAT AS LONG AS I HAD MS, I'D ALSO BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO HAVING SEIZURES AND I WAS NEVER TOLD UNTIL MY FIANCEE MOVED BACK WITH ME AFTER BEING IN ARIZONA. DR. KEATING DID SAY WE WERE TWO-OF-A-KIND AND THAT WAS TRUE!

I have no complaints regarding Dr. Keating, however the staff in the reception area lacks a lot. Scheduling appointments when the doctors are at lunch is completely uncalled for. I have waited 1 hour in the waiting area and an additional 30 minutes in the exam room. They need to learn how to schedule appointments so the wait time is not as long. Needs a good manager.

Great doctor and seems to be a knowledgable and well practiced provider. However, they are extremely slow. I have never been seen there without waiting at least one hour in the lobby. Some times I have even waited 2.5 hours after my appointment time.

The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The Physician Assistant seems as if she just graduated from med school and not very knowledgeable. If you need/want to see a real doctor, forget it. They also make you take extra blood tests you don't need constantly, in order to charge your insurance. I've been to many doctors over the course of my life, and outside of a health department, this practice is by far my worst experience.

Dr. Keating is an excellent doctor with the best 'bedside manners' I've ever seen. He's very popular so book advance. And usually for him expect to wait in the waiting room a while; bring a book? He's worth the wait. Remember: how much time you wait is because he doesn't hurry or rush you while you're with him. Waiting to talk with him is worth it. The waiting room is very comfortable. The staff is calm and patient. Atmosphere is relaxing.
