Good and bad
Dr. Fontenot is excellent at performing surgery, however, he gives no instruction on how to take care after surgery. If I hadn't insisted that I get physical therapy, I would've lost a lot of use of my hand he operated on and he said that he does not usually recommend it. I had no way of knowing the exercises to do or the pain that it causes, I probably would've stopped had I not had the physical therapist to push me to do them. I was not nearly informed as much as needed on the after surgery swelling or how long it would take to recover. Thank God for physical therapists, and Google! I had seen other reviews on Dr. Fontenot's lack of bedside manner, I just didn't pay attention to them. I would be cautious to recommend Dr. Fontenot and to make sure I got my own physical therapist after having a surgery done by him.

Amazing doctor and staff
Dr. Fontenot has seen several family members and we were impressed from the beginning. However, he saw my daughter and was amazing with her. He spoke to her to find out what was her issue and answered all questions we had. His nursing staff, specifically Christina Mendoza was also sweet and caring to my daughter. I would 100% recommend him to anyone!!

Very Pleased with Dr. Fontenot
Dr. Fontenot operated on my 89 year old mother after she fell and broke her leg. He was very helpful to us in thoroughly explaining her condition and the options for addressing her situation. He helped us feel comfortable with the surgery and really made mom feel at ease. He answered all of our questions and followed up with us after the surgery. The surgery went well and our experience could not have been better. We would highly recommend Dr. Fontenot.

Good doc
My mother, father, and myself all had good experiences with Dr. F through several years. He was kind, professional, to the point. Did a great replacement on my shattered shoulder, healed fine. Staff not great with phones or appts. No problem at all with doc.

I was referred to him by Dr Liu. I needed a reversal total shoulder replacement. Of course I came home and read reviews, then I was like I’m going open minded. I prayed about my surgery and everything went beautifully! I’ve had several major surgeries but this was different. He new modern things I’d never heard off. It was great! He was great to answer questions. My husband and I was very impressed with him. I’m only 10 weeks out and feel completely nearly healed. I’d highly recommend Dr Fontenot. He’s a Hoot too! Thank you sir for such a great job! ??

Must have been short on time.
Dr. Fontenot spent very little time on checking my problem. He did a poor job of explaining what he thought the problem was or still is. I believe that he looked at my X-ray and already had his mind made up without any real discussion with me. I also felt he was rude when commented about a question I asked him. At least I didn't waste a lot of his time because the visit was less than five minutes.

Great experience!
I needed a hip replacement. It was so bad that I was reduced to a walker or wheel chair if I had to walk. Even hitting a bump driving was extremely painful. A couple of other ortho I saw prior to him had said they wouldn't touch me unless I lost weight. Dr Fontenot saw the pain I was in and vowed to help me. He did a wonderful job, and has been very supportive through the healing process. I'm very grateful for this man...he changed my life!

Terrible Experience.
Terrible bedside manners. Dr. Fontenot did not allow me to explain anything. Very unprofessional, extremely rude person. I don't recommend this doctor to someone who is in pain and needs medical assistance. He told me he wouldn't help me, and didn't give me other options either.

I've been seeing Dr Fontenot for knee replacement. My first surgeon was a nightmare and Dr Fontenot has replaced parts and scrapped scar tissue from original surgery. He's THE BEST! I feel safe and secure under his care. I'm currently in PT and all seems to be going well. Thank you Dr. Bill!!

If I could leave a negative number I would! Do not waste your time or money because he will not help you in anyway unless you enjoy being treated like a piece of garbage on the side of the road! He will not let you tell him what is going on. If you happen to get any questions in he will make you feel stupid! He says everything is impossible even when you have proof! By far the RUDEST doctor I have ever been to! I walked out of his office completely crushed and rethinking going to another doctor to see if I can get answers on a two year battle! Just because you have MD behind your name doesn’t mean you know everything! Every patient is different!

Staff will not answer the phone during business hours. His staff did not obtain authorization from my insurance prior to treatment, thus I'm stuck with the bill. He is very unprofessional, told me that I didn't have a condition that 4 other doctors diagnosed me with. I would go elsewhere.
