Overbooking problem
No complaints about Dr. Facibene’s surgical expertise, but this office has a serious overbooking problem. If you don’t feel sitting in a waiting room for two hours with an unsympathetic staff is acceptable, then you might consider going elsewhere.

Things Could be Better
As an established patient of Dr Facibene, and one with good insurance, Medicare and AARP Plan F, I was asked to provide a credit card number over the phone before I could get my next appointment. Things Could be Better. I was grateful for that information as I knew I needed to go elsewhere for my treatment.

Whenever I have an appointment with him I am waiting for more than 2 hours. This is unacceptable a patient time is just as important as a physician. If you have nothing but time on your hand feel free to go see him

Someone asked if he left the practice, comment dated 4.14.21. Thank you. I had an appointment for 3.17.21 a.m. and got a call the nite before he had to cancel, no reason given. When I asked to be rescheduled they could not tell me when he would be available. Someone will call back in two days. I waited three days to call back and was told he was no longer with the group. He was apparently either in the wind or on his own. Fast forward to 4.19, a friend told me she had seen him that day, in the same group, in the same office. I don't know what happened, but he did his patients a very big disservice. I will not see him. I asked for all my records to be returned, that has never happened. Bad communication all around

Can anyone answer what happened to Dr. Facibene? He no longer is affiliated with NYU, and I contacted Northwell Health and they have no information on him either. Hope nothing happened to him.

I went to Dr. Facibene for treatment on two different problem areas. During each visit, he explained the basis for the issues and discussed viable treatment options. The information was communicated so that a non med prof could understand. His manner was compassionate yet confident. I hope I don’t have further joint problems but if I do, or require surgery, I trust he’ll provide the best care possible.

I don't even know which visit to begin with! Pretty much my whole family has been his patient at one time or another. Where the wait in his office can be long, Dr. Facibene is the best so you wait. I was recommended to him by a friend who happens to be a doctor. When two of my doctors injured their fingers they all went to Dr. Facibene. When I broke my wrist, an OT at my daughter's swim meet said that I had to see Dr. Facibene. He has been treating one person or another in my family for close to 18 years! Obviously, we keep going back so don't have any complaints!

From the very first meeting with Dr. Facibene, he made me feel comfortable and well-taken care of. He took the time to carefully explain everything in great detail and never rushed rush me or make me feel that any question I had was foolish. Visiting him on a Wednesday, he and his amazing office staff were able to get me in for surgery that Friday (along with all the ore-surgical clearance and medical clearance necessary). Dr. Facibene’s professionalism and bedside manner are truly amazing, and I would highly recommend him.

I have heard many good things about the physician, but, unfortunately, I never got to visit with the doctor himself. His staff insisted on me providing my Medicare number to make an appoinment, which I was reticent to do over the telephone or on line for fear of identity theft. I tried to explain that I would wait until he switched over to NYU and was on their computer system which has a fire wall protecting sensitive patient information and has all my data since many of my doctors are NYU, but she did not give me the opportunity. She told me she was not going to make any appointment for me.

I came to the doctor for a splinter I had which was pretty deep after visiting various urgent care facilities as well as the ER. He ended up performing surgery the same day and removed it. Although other reviews may complain about the wait time, it is because the doctor gives his complete attention to each patient which makes him stand out from the rest! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Facibene repaired a pretty severe injury I had in my wrist a few years ago. It feels way better than prior to the surgery. He took his time with me and had great bed side manner. As others have mentioned, the front desk / his wife aren't the best lol. Expect to way longer than your appointment time (bring a book!). But Dr. Facibene himself is simply amazing.

I wind up shattering my ring finger back in June and was told I needed surgery by the walk in clinic after x rays were taken. My brother in law is an occupation therapist so I reached out to him for a recommendation for a hand surgeon. He was quick to say go so Dr. Facibene, he is the best! Long story short he did such an excellent job on my finger surgery ( He needed to reconstruct the joint and add some screws etc.) that when I fell off an hover board in September and fractured my right wrist I was completely devastated as I just back to normal with my left finger that was repaired. The only comfort I had was knowing that I was going to be in great hands again for this next surgery. I am now writing this review as Dr. Facibene is actually a great guy and an excellent surgeon as well ( *keep in mind I feel like every other specialist in the medical field I dealt whit has been a bit out there lol ). So if you are unfortunately in need of a bone doctor for any reason he's your man!

Dr. Facibene operated on me last month. My daughter and I had both previously had been patients with another well-respected surgeon, with good results, but the lack of time spent with me made me extremely uneasy. Dr. Facibene would not leave until I clearly understood every single aspect of the surgery. His staff's follow up care was just as efficient. We have nothing but good things to say...and as for the recovery: so far, so good!

I rarely write reviews but anyone complaining about a wait for this sub-specialist is ridiculous. I did wait, about 45 minutes before an X-ray and then about another 45 till he came into the room to see me (he'd already reviewed my history and x-rays). If you want a Dr who spends 60 seconds with you, he is not for you. He spent plenty of time to make me comfortable and to treat me and answer every question I had. Maybe that's why he sometimes has long waits. The credit card stuff is nonsense, If you're not a reliable patient, you don't deserve him. I was so pleased with his expertise and care.
