Dr. William Engasser, MD

After treatment for an accident failed to provide relief, I was referred to Dr. Engasser to find answers. He listened to me and reassured me that I would return to my active self. Three months after surgery, I was walking without pain. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

After 10 years of foot pain and been diagnosed with stress fractures I went to Dr. Engasser. He immediately ordered a MRI due to the length of time that I had been wearing a post surgical sandal dealing with the pain. I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve between my toes. We tried the cortisone shot and unfortunately that didn't work. He performed surgery on the left foot and for the first time I'm walking pain free. I can believe the difference this has made in my life. If you are having any problems with your feet I highly recommend Dr. Engasser.

After 7 yr of constant pain, I am pain free! He listened to what I was feeling and ran some tests. Gave us our options and once surgery was over, I never had pain again. I would highly recommend Dr Engasser!

My mom needed emergency surgery at Mhealth Southdale and the hospital scheduled her with Dr. Engasser. I researched him online and had to dig a little deep. He is young but I found that he graduated Yale, did research at Mayo, and residenced at the University of Minnesota. When we met him at the hospital, he listened to our concerns with mom's many existing health issues and answered each concern with compassion and the confidence of a seasoned specialist. She came out of surgery with much better than expected results and he followed her until she was fully recovered. Mom and I both worked in the medical field and we both are impressed with Dr Engasser, we highly recommend him to all of our friends and family.

Dr. Engasser performed a bunion revision surgery for me after my first surgery (by a podiatrist) did not correct the bunion and the wrong size hardware was chosen, causing joint damage. My recovery, from Dr. Engasser’s bunion correction surgery, has been 1000x’s better/easier/less painful/more mobile then the surgery performed by the podiatrist. Net: highly consider Engasser (or other orthopedic surgeon) over a Podiatrist.

I fractured my fibula (ankle/leg bone) on Memorial Day weekend 2021 and was seen that Tuesday after the holiday by Dr. Engasser. After some X-rays, he explained that I would need surgery to repair the fracture. The entire experience from that first visit to today (6 weeks post-op) has been amazing. His care team (Karen- his care coordinator, Lauren- his medical assistant, and Tiffany- his PA) are kind, knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to interact with. Dr. Engasser himself is very smart and personable and made my first broken bone and first surgery in my 33 years of life not as scary as it could have been. They have taken such good care of me and I am forever grateful that I got onto Dr. Engasser's schedule as a new patient after my fracture! I recommend Dr. Engasser and Twin Cities Orthopedics with zero hesitation for any of your ortho needs!

I unexpectedly broke my ankle and had an ORIF with Dr. Engasser. He was clearly very knowledgable, incredibly friendly, very open about the surgery and recovery. He allowed plenty of time to ask questions and I felt respected by him and all of his staff. I would recommend him to anyone!
