8/15/24 Dr. Banish helped me in the ER at Atrium in Pineville. He went the extra mile to accommodate, and fallowed up the fallowing day in person. Friendly disposition, communicative , and listens.

Calming bedside manner
Dr. Banish saw my husband in the ER with a possible incarcerated hernia. He was kind, calm, and very knowledgeable. He took time to explain the surgical procedure that was indicated. Very professional with a great bedside manner

Dr Banish did my husband's surgery after a ruptured appendix. Worst experience with a surgeon. My husband is an disabled vet bk amputee with degenerative disc disease who is on daily morphine for pain. Banish would not allow him to have his pain meds bc his incision was "only this big." No drainage from tube in 5 days. Takes out too-tight stitch and extended abdomen drains 700cc of built up fluid. Why is the drainage tube still in 5 days after surgery if no fluid released? Doesnt stay long enough to answer questions. Avoid at all costs.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to have my surgery done by this dr. It was an emergency surgery so I did not get the option to hand pick my surgeon and i certainly would not have chosen him. He tells my husband that my perception of my pain is not based in reality and then instead of removing the gallbladder from a side cut takes it out from the top of the chest and cutting through a lot of muscle causing me to not be able to breath deeply or stand up straight from the pain and spasms. I have had 2 other procedures done and none of those surgeons used that top cut as the main working one. In horrible pain... but hey I guess it's all in my mind. He could not wrap his small little mind around the fact that my symptoms didn't fall into a neat little checklist and I wasn't doing it as outpatient. It was so bad I couldn't eat and was stuck in the hospital over a 3 day waiting period for surgery. Snarky, disrespectful, doesn't see you as an individual but a box to be checke

I was in Springs Memorial Hospital the day after Christmas, 2017, after a CT scan for stomach pain I was told I would be having surgery because of a perforated ulcer. First surgery I ever had in 65 years and Dr. Banish performed it! I had a quick recovery after one week in the hospital thanks to him and the caring, attentive doctors and nurses who took care of me. I am grateful for Springs Memorial Hospital for having great people working for them and for the follow up care! G. Polston.

I was admitted into the hospital with a bowl obstruction that caused me a considerable amount of pain. I was in his care for 5 days. He spent a maximum of 5 minutes with me through the whole time. I would ask him questions and he would just walk out of the room. He had the nerve to question why I was saying I was in pain. It seemed like he didn't even bother to read my chart. If you want a doctor that care's for your well being look elsewhere.
