Very disappointed.
I probably got all of 5 min with Dr. Luke. I was interviewed and examined by her medical student. He kept saying that she would be in shortly. He left again and came back with her. She walked in and said “here’s what I can do for you…injection in your S1. She talked so fast and didn’t explain anything. Then she left and sent 2 more medical students in to try and get me to sign up for a clinical trial. It was a long spiel. I said no thanks. I will never go back there! It was just plain awful.

Late and no interaction with me at all.
I was in for neck injections recently. My first appointment with Dr. Luke. Dr. Luke was very late. She came in while I was prepped on the table. She never came over to introduced herself or acknowledged my existence. I found that very rude. How am I to trust her when she can’t be bothered to speak to her patient? She didn’t even do my injections. The doctor that did was amazing. I have no idea what this woman even looks like. Very disappointed with my appointment.

Cold and biased
Seems there is a pattern of Dr. Luke not caring for patients and dropping the ball. I reached out to her 4 times due to my note being inaccurate. She got called out so she finally changed it, but not all. I told her if it’s not changed by next week I will be filing a grievance and everything is screenshot and documented. She seems to have a huge weight bias because she documented she counseled me on weight loss and that conversation NEVER occurred. I said I notice you doctors automatically put this even if “counseling” never occurred. I will be filing a grievance anyways.

She’s rude. I stopped going to OSU because of how rude she was and she hurt me pretty bad physically. After my back ablation, she caused my back to be worse and it’s never been the same sense.

Abysmal
I took a day off work and drove 2 hours each way to see Dr. Luke on 7/27/22. She did not examine me: a student did. Dr, Luke was not in the room. The student then left to consult with Dr Luke and study my MRI. They returned. Dr. Luke talked with me briefly. She seemed interested in my case. She suggested a course of treatment, I agreed. She said treatment required insurance preapproval. I offered to pay cash to begin the treatment that day. She told me to wait 2-3 weeks for her office to get preapproval. I waited 5 weeks and heard nothing from her office. I politely messaged her on MyChart: she did not respond. After calls and MyChart messages to departments at OSU, I determined that the insurance preapproval request was not even written until 9/5. On 9/17 my insurance denied the treatment. At this writing Dr Luke has ignored requests from her staff to address the denial in any concrete way. When I call her office I am always told to call back in a few days.

Excellent at procedures she performed for me: 1 SI joint injection and later 2 epidurals. No complications.

I had a procedure with Dr Luke for the first time recently. My neck became incredibly swollen and hot to the touch for days. Her advice? Can’t see me for another week, take Advil and go for the Emergency Room if I have concerns. I’m in more pain than when I started with her and I certainly can guess to take Tylenol (she does not prescribe meds). I am not going to the ER when she easily could examine me. The responses to my concerns were short and condescending. Want answers and pain management?
