Vascular surgery traumatic experience
One year ago my 25 year old daughter developed a huge blood clot that ran from behind the knee to her abdomen. She was seen in the ER and scheduled for surgery the next morning. Dr Fung explained and assured her, her father and myself that she would be sedated and would not experience pain. Would not even remember the procedure. In fact this doctor did not have an anesthesiologist present, could not get her sufficiently numb or sedated and continued with the procedure of sucking the blood clot out of her bidy while she sobbed and cried out that she felt EVERYTHING. She felt the pain from her belly button to the back of her thigh. The surgeon lied to all ofus when she was inrecovery and when she confronted him about this traumatic, painful experience he brushed her off. When cornered he finally said “sorry you had a hard time in there”. Ignoring her excruciating pain he absolutely traumatized her. She was suffering and alone. She trusted him and he failed..

I went to Dr. Fung for a varicose vein problem. First time I met him, he is very knowledgeable & compassionate. He explained the whole process to me. His staff at the Valencia office-Maggie is very helpful & answered all my questions. His staff at the Surgery Center in Tarzana-great group! I came in nervous for my procedure & everyone assured me that I will be ok. My nurse-she is the best! Caring and loving. My anesthesiologist was assuring & comforting. Thank you Dr. Fung & staff.
