DO NOT RECOMMEND
I had an extremely negative experience with my pediatric dermatologist, Wendy Ripple. She prescribed me two different antibiotics at 16 years old, despite the fact that you're never supposed to be on antibiotics long-term. After seeing many different doctors I learned that Because of her, I developed chronic kidney stones from one of the antibiotics. The other one was long-term amoxicillin, which my body is now immune to. It also killed all the good bacteria in my gut, leading to IBS. I am very disappointed and frustrated with the outcome of this treatment. 100% do not recommend my health has significantly declined since I followed her plan of care for me. All just for acne, this is extremely enraging to me. I now have 2 chronic health conditions that I have to deal with the rest of my life and impact my life significantly.

HAHA. I didn’t have one. My daughter was scheduled for an appt and we drove 1.5 hours away to have her skin be seen. I’ve had my appt MONTHS in advance. As I was referred from my pediatrics office and apparently the office moved at the beginning of the year. I was NEVER notified. I called the office to let them know I was there and they told me they moved. When I asked for the new address, the front desk supervisor told me I wouldn’t make it that I was 10 minutes away and that I would have to reschedule. I explained that I drove an hour and a half to be seen, that I would like to speak to the manager to see if we could be seen and he told me he was the manager that I needed to reschedule that he was sorry, that my child wasn’t going to be able to cut in front of another patient who was on time because my child was LATE to her appt, that they see their patients in 10min intervals. you I could have made it to the appt time my daughter was scheduled for. I don’t even want to reschedule.

Dr Ripple is good at what she does but is not easy to talk to and is condescending when you ask questions. I feel like she repeats the same instructions to everyone and won’t offer any additional info outside of her box. She was treating my daughter for acne and when she asked the doc if she should make any changes to her diet Dr ripple stared at her and then spoke to her like she was an inch tall. She also had several skin tags on her armpits and Dr ripple told her she didn’t want to remove them, but my daughter is a teenager and insecure about them so I had to push for her to remove them. This was embarrassing for my daughter. The office staff is rude and cold as well

The office staff are very rude. They do not care to listen to your requests and concerns. There is no flexibility in this office. The office atmosphere is cold and uncaring. Customer service simply doesn’t exist here. After several years of just accepting the rudeness and cold atmosphere I am taking my daughter’s care to a new dermatologist. It’s unfortunate that the physician’s reputation and customer service is reflective from her office staff.

My daughter's dermatologist left Erie & we needed to find new doctor fast to continue her medication. Office was extremely accommodating & got her appointment fast. The doctor is very nice & knowledgeable. She explained things that previous doctor did not. Office staff friendly as well. Great experience overall.

Office staff very rude and unprofessional. Dr. Ripple doesn't do anything about it because the main guy working at the front desk is her husband or actually they do something, they treat you way worse when you voice your concerns. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Not a very patient oriented preactice. I will not recommended this place.

Terrible experience :( The office staff treated my family very poorly. Very rude and unprofessional. When their behavior is pointed out they become even worse. After discussing with the physician my concerns about the poor conduct of her staff...she supported them. Very sad for a pediatric office.

Our first appointment was fair with ample explanation to the rash my daughter was experiencing. However, when I called to discuss a concern, several days later, I was not allowed to speak with the dr., email the concern, or get into a patient portal. In fact, there was no other way to contact the dr. except with an appointment. Their office ours are very limited, their reception staff is rude and not considerate of patients concerns or questions.

Dr. Ripple herself is a nice person. Her office staff, leaves a lot to be desired. My wife, who is a school teacher, took an afternoon off of work to take our two children to Dr. Ripple. My wife got lost and called the office to ask for directions. They were very rude to my wife on the phone, stating that she would not make it time before they closed. My wife's appt was at 3:30 and they told her she would not make it in time and would have to reschedule. This, after driving 45 minutes!

She is a very nice doctor. I forgot to get my lab work done on time once and she forgave me and said it wasn't a big deal and that she would call in my script the next day. I would have given her 5 stars but sometimes I feel there is a lack of communication in her office between staff. I called and spoke to a receptionist about coming in an hour early and she said it was okay but then Ripple called me a liar and said no one would have said that to me but other than that I really like her.

For the most part she is nice. I have to see her monthly. I don't believe there is good communication among her office staff and herself. I once asked if I could come to my appointment 30mins earlier than scheduled and the receptionist said it would be no problem however, when I got there I had to wait until my scheduled appointment time. When I told her I had called and asked if I could come earlier she called me a liar and said "there's no way anyone would have told you that"

Dr. Ripple was so nice and cheerful from the moment she entered the room. My 3 year old was very nervous about the procedure and Dr. Ripple put her at ease right away. The nature of my daughters condition requires us to visit the Dr. again and my daughter is actually looking forward to going back!
