Bothered me for years
She treated me several years ago and I still can’t get over how horrible it was. I came to the ED the same night twice for abdominal pain. She never once examined my belly. She was rude and dismissive and so was the RN at Banner University. The nurse gave me a urine cup to pee in and I had just went to the bathroom about 30 seconds ago. When I told the nurse I couldn’t pee yet, she said so you don’t want to give me a urine sample? I said I just peed, I can’t go this second. I wasn’t refusing to give her a urine sample. That’s when it occurred to me that Dr. Lucid thought I was drug seeking. I wasn’t even asking for pain meds. After a few minutes, I was able to give them a urine sample. I never refused. I was sent home and it turned out that I had a paralytic ileus and was dismissed. It’s absolutely terrible that I wasn’t even examined and was judged for no reason: she shouldn’t even be licensed. This could have cost me my life.

Not that you have a lot of choice in the ER. But Wendy Lucid has a horrible bedside manner and charges an exorbitant price. She meet with me in the ER after a car accident for no more than 5 minutes. Never saw her again and she charged $1345.00 for her time. At that rate she is making $16,140.00 and hour and is probably getting paid by the hospital as well. For that price I expect someone to be kind, caring, empathetic. You know treat me like I am all that matters in that moment and then follow up to make sure i'm being treated well. With Wendy you would be lucky to get a hello and a smile. Kinda forced to take it in that situation which blows that they can treat you like dirt and charge you a kings ransom with noting for you to do about it.

Highest bill for a physician I’ve ever received. If this Dr in your room of the ER require her charge before she gives you services. The patient doesn’t even recall her, about the only thing she might have done was read an X-ray. She charged our ins $1300 approx, our ins discounted $733. Insurance paid $532. Crazy healthcare in the US system. Other doctors at ER’s never charge that much. Be warned, this is perhaps price gouging and her background doesn’t seem warrant such fees. It was a broken bone, just a sling and pain meds. Ridiculous.
