Waste of time
My 1st visit w Dr Ho she was 1 hr late. When finally met w her, she was short and I felt rushed. I had bad abdominal pain so she scheduled an endoscopy, which was 6 months after my initial apptI've had this problem for 20 years so I'm eager to get to the bottom of it. A few weeks before my procedure, I called the office and asked if I can also get a colonoscopy at the same time. I was told that the dr would like to speak to me. I had to have a facetime call with the dr only to get denied and charged $80. waste of time and $. Once I got my endoscopy and was waking up from the anesthesia, the dr came in handed me a packet, said nothing is wrong asked if I have questions and left. I was still COMPLETELY out of it, so I wasn't even sure what to ask. She didn't schedule a follow up or anything moving forward. She showed no concern, empathy or interest in helping any further. Now I'm going to see another specialist and I've been trying to get copies of my records for the last 2 weeks.

My personal experience with Dr. Ho has been nothing short of outstanding. Dr. Ho is experienced, knowledgeable and will not hesitate to order tests to look into underlying conditions. In my recent upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, Dr. Ho was very gentle but thorough. I did not have a sore throat or experience any discomfort after my procedure. Dr. Ho's wait list is many months out, if this is any indication of her loyal patients.

Pros: Dr. Wendy is good at ordering tests to rule out conditions, but her expertise in Sibo is not good. Cons: Unfortunately, my trust in her as a physician disappeared as she rushed through appointments she was late for, has a habit of not being able to answer certain health questions definitively due to a lack of knowledge and lacks genuine empathy. She may have too many patients in that she didn't remember things on my medical file which made me feel like I was educating her instead of the other way around. The most concerning to me besides not being able to form a comprehensive plan of treatment and healing for my condition is that she lied about things she had said she informed/diagnosed me with. You remember something like that and it wasn't until I addressed my concerns that these new things were brought up which is irresponsible for a healthcare provider. It is very hard when you feel like just another number. If you do not know something it is important to admit early on

Dr. Ho did not listen to me as a patient, including when I told her symptoms that she should have flagged, and when I needed to prepare for a procedure while considering dietary intolerances. In failing to prepare me properly, she left me so weak and depleted after a colonoscopy that I was in bed for 2 weeks, during which time she offered no support despite being asked. This invasive procedure preceded a much simpler one, which my symptoms indicated would be more effective in ascertaining the source of my illness, and which wasn't done until every other (costly) avenue was exhausted. Finally, in treating me, Dr. Ho claimed that she had prescribed me antibiotics which do not interfere with probiotic bacteria. It is an accepted fact amongst doctors that no such antibiotic exists. Dr. Ho also said she had no idea what lactobacilli was, a probiotic bacteria so basic it is used to sell yogurt in commercials, and something a GI doctor should have knowledge of.

After seeing Dr. Wendy Ho for the first time, she called me several times to see how I was doing, and recommended some procedures to discover the cause of my problem. She sent me to other doctors to help with my problem. I have never had a doctor call me at home checking up on me and being so kind. Even though she is a distance away from my home, it is worth the time it takes to see this wonderful and kind and knowledgable doctor.
