Great Doc!
I can’t say enough about Dr. Lien. He’s always thorough and pays close attention. I have been seeing him for over a decade and he has been through kidney cancer with me. I will always be thankful for his help.

Deceptive Billing Practices
Requested an annual physical exam and briefly discussed my health over the last 12-18 months to get him acquainted on my current status. Conversation lasted 20-25 minutes in total. I was billed for 45-60 minutes and also charged for an office visit vs. annual exam (which is 100% covered by my insurance). Unwilling to work with me on a solution and difficult to reach someone who can discuss situation when I called the physician office.

Dr. Lien has been my Primary Care physician for the past 10 years. I have a complicated past medical history and always find him to be professional, kind, caring and attentive to my sometimes very extensive concerns. I travel 1 1/2 hrs to see him and it is worth every minute. I also find the staff extremely caring and prompt in their attention to each and every client. I would not get my health care anywhere else but MGH Back Bay and Dr. Wei Lien.

I arrived for my appointment 7 minutes late, rushing to get there as the nurse only called me 45 minutes prior to schedule this appointment, but Dr. Wei refused to see me even for few minutes. I find this completely unacceptable especially since the appointment was urgent.

Dr. Lien is very good but the staff in MGH Backbay clinic need improvement. They make mistakes in preparing paper work easily. Once we checked in but they forgot to call us for an hour. When I asked them why, they just remembered that they had not put our file in the list of nurses. Once they made a mistake in billing the insurance. They wrote my son's name with my insurance number. It caused a lot of headache. I wish Dr Lien changes his clinic so we don't have to go to back bay.

I Love Dr. Lien, but MGH allowed office staff to call me, make physical appointment by threatening me (if you don't come you will not get your Vitamin D refilled) & MGH allowed for office staff to have the power to sign a letter instead of Dr. Lien and fire me from his patient list without Dr. Lian knowledge (PROVIDER IS NOT DR. LIEN) office staff are the POWER & they run the CIRCUS

My first visit with Dr. Lien was great! He has a very relaxed demenour which made me feel comfortable. He was thorough, I had a lot of questions and concerns and he addressed each one in detail, never rushing me. Also - the staff at MGH back bay were just as helpful and kind as Dr lien
