Fantastic Doctor and Fantastic Human Being
Dr. Wayne Brisbane is just fantastic! My urologist (Dr. Holden) referred me to Dr. Brisbane to do the prostate biopsy that my PSA test required. Holden assured me that Brisbane was 'the Man' when it came to ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies. 'Nobody better in the UCLA system for this,' he claimed. I was a little nervous about the procedure, having heard horror stories about the pain and post-procedure effects. I took Dr. Brisbane's suggestion to pay the extra $150 for the nitrous oxide (insurance wouldn't cove it), and the biopsy was a breeze! Dr. Brisbane was friendly and empathetic, and took time to explain everything before, during and after the procedure. He is very enthusiastic, which is infectious -- he even got me enthused about the process and my case (the laughing gas likely helped, I suppose...). I could go on and on, but I'm running out of characters. Suffice it say, for ultrasound-guided biopsy (superior to MRI-guided, it turns out), use Dr. B!

There is no need for a second opinion if your doctor is Wayne G. Brisbane. He is absolutely the most thorough, kind and understanding Urologist I have met with. He patiently described and diagramed my situation, which provided clear direction and treatment plan.

A special docton
When Dr. Wayne Brisbane comes into the room, you feel special. That's because of his smile, his energy, and, most importantly, his complete focus on you, the patient. He takes whatever time is necessary to address your issues. It makes him run late, but it's worth it.
