Horrible experience
I went to an appointment on Jan 31st 2025. I was in extreme pain at the time suffering from 2 bulging disc on my sciatic nerve . I got there on time and was made to wait a whole hour past my appointment time before finally being taken in. I spoke with the assistant who asked me a few questions then told me to wait for Dr grace. After about 25 minutes of waiting I was sure they had forgotten about me. I went to the clerk and let them know I was still waiting . Dr grace finally came in about 10 minutes after. So this was over an hour and a half after my appointment time. He spend less than 5 minutes with me telling me I needed an epidural and they would need an mri first to get the approval from my insurance company even tho I already had a cat-scan from Jersey shore hospital showing my injury . He then prescribed me gabapentin without any explanation of what this medicine is and left the roomIt’s march 3rd still no mri no epidural . They are extremely unprofessional and incompetent

The Best
Every time I’ve seen Dr Grace, I was always given the time for me to understand everything, and if I didn’t understand, he would explain it until I did understand. He gave me all my options, and let ME make the decision. I was always spoken to in a caring manner. You couldn’t be in better hands.

Treated terribly, and with disrespect.
I am 71 years old and after having problems getting an approval for an MRI he was very sarcastic and showed absolutely no concern. I would not recommend him at all. He obviously didn't even take the time to review my chart to see what was going on and make any attempt to assist.

Does not care
I would not recommend this doctor. I shouldve listened to the previous reviews. He was not willing to work with me in order for me to avoid surgery. All he perscribed was ibuprofene which I can buy over the counter. He told me there is nothing else he can do for me after two months of me not feeling better. He seemed annonyed that I came back to see him and he was in a real rush to get me out the door. I eneded up finding another doctor that was caring of my needs. I now feel about 90% from before.

Devoid of Compassion
My husband and I waited for an hour and a half after our appointment time to see Dr. Grace. My husband had excruciating hip pain and, thankfully they were able to move his appointment up after he got his MRI a week ago. When Dr. Grace came into the exam room, he was just reading the report then. He recommended seeing a surgeon and said, “ I could give you medicine or or a shot to alleviate the pain but it’s not going to fix the problem. You want a guarantee that the pain will go away and I can’t do that.” Neither my husband nor I ever asked for a guarantee of any kind; we asked if there was anything to give him a temporary respite until he saw the surgeon, just so he could get a good night’s sleep. When we asked that he said, “Same pharmacy? You’re obviously frustrated so, . . “ Then he left and sent the nurse back in to hand us the referral. He didn’t even tell us what medication he was prescribing! He had no compassion or common decency just to be courteous to a person in pain.

Dr. Grace is in the wrong field…
I am an above the knee amputee, 49 surgeries due to complications healing and infections I had been getting to my breaking point.. with the phantom pains and chronic bone pain, I was willing to try anything!!! We had just moved here so I was looking for a pain management specialist to take over my 13 year case, I came to him with a solid treatment plan and on medication that worked but needed adjustments and of course needed an experienced pain doctor to take on my case for further treatment and monitoring. So after my PCM sent my referral and I waited 2 weeks then started calling the office regarding my referral for over 3 weeks, I finally got a “telephone appointment” cuz you know, a new pt exam doesn’t need face to face.. Dr. Grace picked up the phone and says “there’s nothing I can do for you” I said, “too complicated?” He said no, with no further explanation. I asked him for a referral to someone who wasn’t afraid to take me on and he hung up on me.. F*^king nice…. Childish

If he can’t fix it, you must lying about it
It started off great with Dr. Grace. He looked over my MRIs. Told me he knows exactly what’s causing my pain, why my previous doctor was wrong, why their treatment didn’t help, and how his would. His confidence had me feeling hopeful that after almost a year of debilitating pain I would finally get my life back. Cut to a few months later when his treatment haven’t provided any relief, he tells me that I’m wrong and that it should have resolved my pain. During this visit he just kept asking me variations of “what percent of relief did you notice” trying to get me to tell him his procedures helped when it hadn’t. During this same visit I asked about renewing my handicap placard while we continue to pinpoint my pain and he tells me he won’t because he has no proof that I’m actually in any pain. Please don’t waste months of your time with Dr. Grace like I did. Find yourself a doctor who won’t let their own arrogance get in the way of finding a pain solution that works for you.

While Dr Grace has a very good educational background, his professional demeanor is inexistent. After an hour and a half wait, without any apology or even allowing me the right to complain for the delay, Dr Grace showed up. His first words were: “Do I look happy?”, “Do you want to see me or not?”. I left the practice not being able to trust that a professional with such rude and full of himself behavior would be able to offer an objective evaluation of my health issue. Please, stay away from this doctor.

While Dr Grace has a very good educational background, his professional demeanor was inexistent. After an hour and a half waiting at the Rutherford location without any apology for the delay his only response was: “do I look happy?”, “Do you want to see me or not”. I could not trust that such rude behavior would have the objectivity to evaluate my condition and left. Stay away from this doctor.

Dr Grace
Dr Grace is fabulous. He spent so much time discussing my pain relief options. In fact, more time than any of my other doctors. He listens well, explains the reasoning behind his decisions regarding my best options.

I am a former patient of Dr Grace in Charleston WV. When I first came to him I was suffering from nerve damage from knee surgery. Nothing anyone else had done had given any relief. He was very understanding of my frustration after 4 years of this. He said we will start here and go forward as needed. He put a DRG stimulator in my back with leads to the nerves in my knee and calf. What a godsend that was. He saw me frequently and he made some adjustments. I have to say that my knee is probably 90% better than after the surgery. When I found out he was leaving I cried. He is a wonderful doctor. Extremely kind and understanding. You all take good care of him up there. I know you’ll come to like him as much as we did and still do here.

I saw him yesterday and he was the rudest most unprofessional doctor I’ve ever seen. He made me feel like I shouldn’t have even been there do you the fact that I was on Medicaid and was very rough with me. If I ever have to go back to that place I will never see this doctor again. I am a human being in pain who will not be treated like that

Dr Grace was very understanding of my having to manage/cancel/reschedule appointments during my Mother's illness. Once my mother passed they refused to see me any longer and refused to do a Neuro Stimulator for my Severe Back Pain. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone!

Dr. Grace is a very competent doctor. He’s the first dr that has addressed my spinal problems appropriately. I have several bulging discs at L4-L5 and L1-L2. I have arthritis, especially in my SI joints. He’s done injections and it’s helped. He found a fracture in my thoracic spine and sent me to a very competent spinal specialist. He’s very honest, with a good bedside manner.

Dr. Grace is useless. My wife has had two laminectomies in the lumbar L4-5 and is having a consultation for a spinal fusion in the thoracic spine. She went to Dr. Grace wanting to discuss getting a spinal stimulator for pain. Injections have not previously worked for her. We waited 45 min. past the appt. time before he came in. He wouldn't discuss anything besides injections, like he's a one trick pony. When asked what else to do for the pain he said, "Deal with it!" ***USELESS***
