Fantastic cardiologist!
Dr.Malick is thoroughly knowledgeable about cardiology, CVD risk factors, and the role played by lipids. He understands the role of lipid-lowering medications in managing CVD risk, as well as the limitations of lowering risk for low-risk individuals. He does not press everyone to pop pills, especially if the pills will not lower their already-lowCVD risk. I had previously seen a cardiologist who pressured me to take statins for several years, ignoring the genetic testing that counter-indicated statin use. I immediately suffered extreme negative reactions on a very low dose. In contrast, Dr. Malick understood the scientific meaning of the genetic test results, and agreed statins were definitely not appropriate. I am delighted to have found such a science-based physician instead of just a pill-pusher! I recommend Dr. Malick very highly!
