SHE LISTENS TO EVERYTHING!
I took my daughter to see her when I knew she had anorexia. She and I worked together regarding what my daughter REALLY LIKED TO DO…It just happened to be her HOMEWORK! She always brought all her books home from school and worked diligently to make all A’s. Dr. Harrison strongly suggested that I take all her books away from her and to relinquish them only after Tiffany ATE SOMETHING. Tiffany was 5’ 4” and had gotten her weight down to 84 pounds. It was very difficult, but I did as the doctor ordered. That, along with “group,” “single” and “both of us” therapies—for which I had to take time off from work, and gladly did so—finally turned her around!! Dr. H. also treated me for a terrible case of pneumonia. The night before my son’s funeral, a hospital E.R. Doctor was refusing to let me go home—the pneumonia was THAT BAD—not much coughing—it was “walking Pneumonia.” Around 10 pm the ER called her. She told them to let me go home, and took responsibility. Things worked out.

For those upset over the wait time, its worth it. Dr. Harrison is THOROUGH and makes sure all your needs are met and you have all the meds you need. People would also complain about a doctor thats in and out of a room in 5 minutes and didn't listen or help. Can never win. Just got on a day you're able to carve out some extra time. The care is worth it.

Arrived at 2:20 for a 2:45 pm appt. At 3:20 pm I was advised that she was just getting to her 2:30 appt. and that she is "usually running this late". Unacceptable! I left without rescheduling. What part of "my time is also valuable"do doctors not understand!?!?!? Spoke with office manager, she was rude. My first and last appt. In that office! Receptionist was helpful and courteous.

I have read, to many she runs behind. However, she is very attendant and has a passion to see her patients better. I am aware, time is money, yet, she is an awesome person and doctor. After all of my doctors either retired or passed, I was left with a dilemma. Dr. Maxon and subsequent to him was Dr. Van Meter. Dr. Harrison is old school, and that takes time. So glad I was led to her. You will not be disappointed, even if you must wait a bit.

Never even saw her. My appointment was at 13:45, was put in a room at 14:45 and left at 15:00. No sort of update to say "Hey, she is running behind". The MA did my vitals at 14:45 and stated she was running "a little behind". Will not schedule with her again. All was completely uncalled for.

Dr. Harrison really listened to me. She made two excellent recommendations which I followed up on. One of them was to see an audiologist and I was able to obtain hearing aids with the help of Vocational Rehab. She also recommended I see a nephrologist to set up a relationship for future needs. I found her an excellent doctor
